This is true! But since his background, all years of learning foundation is based on Bell Canto which shows when he sings, so somehow it's natural for people to regard him as an opera singer even if he's predominant in all the genres of music and that's something to be proud of which I don't think he'll mind it.

❤🤗❤ Maestro Igor Krutoy, World Famous Russian composer and pianist, and Dimash, were invited to perform the Opening Ceremonies song for the 2nd European Olympic Games in Minsk, Belarus in June of 2019. "Ogni Pietra Olympico". This song was composed by Maestro Krutoy for Dimash to sing there. It is essentially a fight song. To give encouragement to the competitors of the Games. To fight for what they have been training for, for so long. And to go for the Gold!. Since then, Dimash and Maestro Krutoy have performed this song at many other venues and concerts. This performance was at one of Dimash's Arnau Concerts. It is an epic masterpiece. I'm glad you enjoyed it. ❤

He's not an opera singer. Just someone who can sing almost any genre, so seeing this type of stuff that is less common is very impressive. He considers himself neo-classical. He genre bends. His mother is an opera singer though! And he was invited to sing in an opera house, but he decided to do his own thing, bringing us amazing stuff like this. Check out Love is Like a Dream. Btw the first performance you saw of him was in french. This is italian. Love is Like a Dream is russian. then check out his original song, Screaming. The version at Idol Hits is very fun and has a surprise. Also the first performance you saw was in 2017. Ogni Pietra is from 2019. And it was composed FOR HIM. Pretty much only he can sing it alone.

Dimash is so much more than an opera singer. You can view his concerts on his personal You Tube channel. He sings every genre of music (maybe not country), he sings in many languages, he dances, he plays instruments, he talks to the fans showing great appreciation and sense of humor. I flew to New York to see him live and it was perhaps the most amazing thing I have witnessed. There were people from 67 countries who flew in and that alone should tell you something.

Dimash is so versatile. One concert, 15ish songs, you'll get pop, opera, folk, maybe even rap. And in the same show he might play the drums, or Dombra, or piano. And you'll likely hear songs in Kazakh, Russian, French, English, Italian, and more. And they pull it all off on these amazing stages, though secretly (or not so secretly) we dears love to see him keep it simple. One of my favorite concert videos is him on stage in the rain in jeans and a plain white tshirt, with tarps over the sound equipment just enjoying the crowd that stuck out the bad weather to see him perform.

I've watched that very concert recording in rain. It happened in China last summer (2019). Dimash was not concerned about the rain even if he was soaked -- and the audience was soaked! That's the power of good music.

Yes, Dimash is supreme in opera, classical, jazz, pop, rock, rap. He is the only human I've ever heard that can do it all. He has God-given talent and thousands and thousands of hours since the age of five in training and practice. He practices three hours a day for years and years. He also plays several instruments including the drums, cello, dombra, guitar, piano. He sings in many languages including French, Russian, Chinese, Kazac, English and more. He has several music degrees in vocals, composition, and has Masters and currently working on his Ph.D. He has written several songs himself which he performs at concerts, such as, "War and Peace" just recently. "Unforgetable Day"" when he was a teenager and others. He says,"cut open my brain you will see music, cut open my heart you will see music, look into my soul I am music." Love your reactions to the BEST vocalist in the world. This performance by Dimash is actually the Olypmics. This song was written and composed for Dimash by Igor Krutoy. His costume is that of the Kazakhstan's flag Dimash has a 7 octave range, has several TRUE whistle tones that do NOT sound human. In this performance, do you realize He sang Baritone, Tenor, Alto and Soprano? Along with a Counter Tenor? Also please note at the WORLDs Best Singing Competition, after performing and ALL Judges and spectators were on their feet. He was expected to win hands down and He pulled out of the competition. I am a DEAR and an ARMY and i am so happy you are reacting to our Prince Di and our bulletproof diamond boys!!! As an insane music lover, during my life, i listened to everything (opera, rock, r&b, soul, rap, pop, traditional music, etc) but now i am extremely selective with my playlists. Dimash and BTS are unique and 100 floors above the music industry (which not only stays back but also is diving into a deep hole). Dimash and Bangtan boys are also standing out because they are humble, polite, hardworking, positive, motivational and sincere. They are true to themselves and they don't do what they do for fame but for personal fulfillment (who knows them well will certainly confirm). Because Di is new to you i strongly recommend you to be open about him. He calles his style neoclassical. But he can switch from opera to rap in seconds (yes! RAP!). He is a multi instrumentalist, can sing in multiple languages and write music. You'll never regret it! Both fandoms are veeery international but we all share our love for quality, soul and meaning in music. It breaks my heart that they don't get what they deserve. As BTS, Dimash also set Grammy as a dream/goal. And HELL YESSSS, we will do all it takes to give them what they are worthy of!!!

Dimash plays to packed stadiums anywhere he goes. He isn’t “marketed.” He is a superstar, a megastar and his solo concerts are huge like you would expect from any huge artist. Dimash’s concerts are very much performed with plenty of his own creative input and every segment has to have his stamp of approval. SOS, which you first reacted to, was an unexpected introduction of Dimash to the world, on that hugely popular Chinese TV show, Singer which is a competition with already established singers and bands. The producers usually invite artists from outside China to compete. He was 22 then. Overnight the kid had over 600 million views. Since then, 2017, he has gone on from success to success. His range is 6.5 octaves. People forget that half octave, because when he performed on that horrid TV show, World’s Best, in Los Angeles, the producers had to give him an epithet, calling him the 6-Octave Man. As far a we know no other male singer in recorded history has had an equivalent range. Two female singers did - the incomparable Yma Sumac from Peru with a 9-Octave range ( no matter what some channels may say - we had her records in our house) and the Hungarian opera singer Ewa Podles, with 7 octaves. Both women could sing male basso to coloratura soprano. This piece is written by the amazing Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who saw a Dimash performance and immediately collaborated with him. Igor can compose brilliantly in a variety of genres as Dimash can sing them. They produce magic together. This particular work was written especially for Dimash to perform at the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Olympics last year. It is a classical music format called a cantata, which usually utilizes 4-6 voices, male and female - basso and/or baritone, tenor, mezzo-soprano, soprano and coloratura soprano, which are in the very high ranges of the female voice. Of course, Dimash does all the vocal parts by himself - and superbly at that! He can be considered an opera singer, but since he also loves singing pop as well, he is a classical crossover artist. There are more popular genre ballads from the unusual music of Igor Krutoy, which Dimash performs. Enjoy them all! 👍🏻😀 Btw, seeing him live like I was fortunate enough to do last December in New York, with thousands of other Dimash fans from 50+ countries and 48 US states, was a thrilling experience. Dimash Kudaibergen became the guest of honor at the opening of the II European Games in Minsk in June 2019. He performed his new song Ogni Pietra (Olympico) in Italian. During the performance at the Dynamo stadium, the flag of the European Olympic Committees appeared, which was carried by 6 people. The author of the music is Igor Krutoy, the text is Lilia Vinogradova. Dimash sings on the highest real sopranos, and not just falsetto, like most men. In a recent interview, he described how his teachers taught soprano singing from childhood. Dimash has a classical, opera school of vocals, he was taught to sing just like that. He once said there was a shortage of girls singing soprano in his school choir so they put him in to sing with them. He said it was ok as he got to meet lots of pretty girls. Nature endowed him with unique ligaments, so he retained the ability to sing in a high key and after age-related changes in his voice. The gift of God and great work from childhood is Dimash. His father is a singer and composer, his mother is a soprano singer. Of course, their son grew up among music from birth and from early childhood learned to play musical instruments and sing. Dimash said in an interview: “I sang like a mother.”

Aaaaaaargh he's not an opera singer! He's neo classic if anything but obviously with his range he cannot be categorised so simply. Have you watched other performances, seen concerts, heard the range of songs from folk to popera? Until you do you will not understand why his fans are crazy about him and why experts across the world believe he is an extraordinary voice. He considers his music neoclassical. I’ve heard others describe it as. Popera...a mix of pop and opera! Perfection no matter what you call it ! I think there were like 45000 people at this concert...people from all over the world came to. Kazakhstan to see this!

Thanks. Dimash not opera singer. In this concert this was only the one opera tipe song. As you see,crowd was huge, this concert attended more than 48 000 people! From 82 countries from all over the world (if I'm not mistaken). Dimash sing classical, pop,rock,jazz,rap,folk,ballad..... and lots of more unbelievable genres...he can do everything! His idol is MJ,so,he sings his songs too and dance as well. Dimash concert always is massive and sold out. You have to see,how he contact with crowd! It's amazing! 💖

No one markets Dimash. He markets himself. He controls everything about his performances. All music arrangements are by Dimash and his friend erlan. He is extremely particular about everything. I love the drums in this. Awesome

The magic of Dimash is not only what he can do within One song (extreme ranges, diffetent styles, dynamics, etc) But what he can do in One concert, I mean, the themes portfolio he has is very varied, we can be operistic, pop, classical, folk, even Rap. He is very eclectic and versatil and he masters all of it to a T. He is the GOAT!

The video is from his solo concert in Kazakhstan from last year that was more than 2,5 hours long, covering everything from opera to folk songs to pop and so on. The production of the concert was nearly as mind blowing as Dimash's voice. If you want to see a mega concert it's worth every minute my friend. People from more than 60 countries from all around the world traveled to Kazakhstan to see him.
