First Time Reaction to Dimash SOS d'un terrien en détresse (SUPER HUMAN!)

Dimash Kudaibergen is one the most talented vocalist in the world (probably THE best). He has a 6-octave range and sounds great in all of them. He can sing Baritone, Tenor, Alto, Soprano, and even Whistle notes. He can sing opera, pop, rock, etc (often in the same song). But most impressive -- even more than his world class technique, dynamics and range ... he can communicate emotion so incredibly well. He says he doesn't sing high to show off -- he does it allow for the expression of an even wider range of emotions. He gets in character before any given song and doesn't ever leave it or take a break. He plays many instruments including dombra (Daididau), piano (Adagio), drums (Michael Jackson Tribute), guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, marimba, bayan, and cello. He is a star in China (millions of fans on Weibo, QQ Music, KKBOX), and is getting big in Russia, and has fan clubs in 120 countries. People flew from 64 countries to Kazakhstan for his concert after the Singer. He just did a concert in New York in December 2019 (and he did what I would have thought impossible -- he got an American audience to sing to him in his native language -- that is how devoted his fan base has become!)

But instead of comparing and antagonize we should be grateful that we get to experience their art and passion. BTS and DIMASH will remain bright shining legends in the history of music!

@@kristinaquint9338 for ME (again, my subjective opinion) Di is the VOCAL GOD while BTS are the GODS of performance. And BTS do sound good solo, because not always it's all about the range. Emotions and original tones also play a huge role. I am the type of fan which can enjoy art from various artists, in different forms and layers. And i feel blessed that i can listen to both Di and BTS.

I REALLY love that song, it will always remind me of a performance by a young French artist who sang that song during a French singing contest. Everybody was moved (we were all crying) because the lyrics fitted that young artist so well, he was at the time diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a lethal disease. He won the singing contest but unfortunately passed away a couple of months afterwards at the age of 24 because of the disease. I didn't know Dimash but his performance was perfect, absolutely P E R F E C T, and reminded me of that little angel who is watching the world from above, now.

Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He has been singing since he was 5 years old. Nice reaction to Dimash singing SOS. Great performance by Dimash. This was his first performance on the Singer a competition for professionals held in China in 2017. He was 22 years old at the time. He did perform : SOS, Opera 2, Adagio, The Show Must Go On, Autumn Strong, All by Myself, Daididau, Unforgettable Day, Daybreak, Confessa and the Diva Dance, A Tribute to MJ, Give me Love. I like to say....You have just been DIMASHED" Buckle up, keep your ears inside your headphones and enjoy the ride. He has a 6 octave range, incomprehensible vocal agility and the stage presence of Freddie Mercury. Damn I forgot he sings in 12 languages. I can't wait for all his music, he can sing in and loves all genres. I just hope we share the ride with him longer than we than we got to do with Freddie.

I travelled from South Frica to Russia to see Dimash live - a crazy and impulsive move which I will never regret as long as I live - and let me tell you, he is spectacular live .. his energy, his emotion, that voice - he is a superb uber-accomplished performer, definitely the best show I've ever seen live.
