This is Dimash's debut as a director 💜🤗💜 He is singing in Kazakh and all the scenery is around Almaty Kazakhstan. Dimash is very, very deeply rooted in his culture and strongly patriotic for his country (Kazakhstan). Kazakhstan is a newly independent country (1991) who fought and lost many to get their independence. So alot of this is about that but its also his expression of the pandemic and loosing people close to him due to it. He's an incredibly old soul who's caring runs deep through him. The symbolism of this clip can be regarded by everyone in different ways, depending on his life experience and life views. I will talk about my own associations, which do not necessarily coincide with the author's intention. At the beginning of the video, the narrator introduces the audience to a historical excursion, showing scenes of the raids of the Mongol tribes on the Kazakh lands up to the 18th century. But this is a completely conditional war, which simply shows that historically the Kazakh people (like most other peoples) have gone through terrible times, full of blood and hardship. This is the prehistory. And then we see the history of the Artist (in the broadest sense of the word), as an element inextricably linked with the fate of his people. In my view, the Artist is a pianist, kobyz is a bleeding folk memory, the connection of eras and generations, the instrument played by the Artist (piano) is the life of the Artist standing on the waters of the Styx (Life is based on Death), and Dimash personifies the burning soul of the Artist ... The artist's life is inextricably linked with the fate of his people. A true Artist gives all of himself to the altar of Art, his soul burns out in this historical and creative flame. The artist, having given all of himself to his vocation, having exhausted his strength, quietly goes into the waters of the Styx (I don't know if the Kazakh epic has another name for the River of Death). But not his soul. The path of the Soul does not stop with the death of the mortal body. The incinerated, burnt Soul of the Artist continues to sing songs to its people, opening new horizons and pointing the way to the Light. //////////////////// Символизм этого клипа может расцениваться каждым по-разному в зависимости от его жизненного опыта и жизненных взглядов. Я расскажу о собственных ассоциациях, которые не обязательно совпадают с авторским замыслом. В начале клипа рассказчик вводит публику в исторический экскурс, показывая сцены набегов монгольских племён на казахские земли вплоть до 18-го века. Жизнь Артиста неразрывно связана с судьбой его народа. Настоящий Артист всего себя отдаёт на алтарь Искусства, его душа сгорает в этом историческом и творческом пламени. Художник, отдав всего себя своему призванию, истощив свои силы, тихо уходит в воды Стикса (я не знаю, есть ли в казахском эпосе иное название Реки Смерти). Но не его душа. Путь Души не прекращается со смертью бренного тела. Испепелённая, обожженная Душа Художника продолжает петь песни своему народу, открывая новые горизонты и указывая дорогу к Свету.
