So true! It’s so amazing how he can just create something new and amazing out of any song. And, no one can copy him, because it’s not only about his vocal skills, but about the emotional emphasis he puts on every single note/tune in a completely different style. A genius, for sure. I know he’s a wonderful singer, and I know he can and will do up to 7 octaves, but he always manages to surprise me because of his unique arrangements. Also, in general, Igor Krutoy knows this well, so he deserves lots of recognition as well (other songs, I mean)

👉This is Dimash's big first solo concert in Astana (Capital of Kazakhstan) called ‘Bastau/ Begin”, shortly after the show 'The Singer 2017'. This concert was given to him by the government as a welcome gift and thanks for his great success in China. 30,000 people from all over the world took part. In preparation for the concert, Dimash worked so hard that he lost a lot of weight. His family was very concerned.... but the concert was great. It blows your mind! (Only via video) I had to wait a few long years before I could see Dimash live in Prague (2022). In chanting, he tells the Dears to turn on the lights on their cell phones. Dimash is an extraordinary artist and smart young man... the best singer in the world! He seldom sings a song in the same way. At many of his gigs, he also uses unusual microphone techniques to make effects and also counter the talk that he is not singing live. It all started with this competition:: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Dimash was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash. "All By Myself" was the 9. song in the competition “The Singer 2017”. The singers had 1 week to learn a song and create the arrangement. Dimash did not speak English at the time and learned the text phonetically. The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to KZbin ... and so we became Dimash's Dears. The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. won). Do you know: Despite Dimash's planned brief presence at the competition, his name was intended to be symbolic and understandable to the public. Thank you for another great reaction to our Dimash. I, too, have loved that song for a long time. One thing Dimash does so well is use ornamentation to further emphasize the meaning of the song he's singing. It can be the simplest thing, like a small riff or run. With a vocal range spanning over 6 octaves, he has endless ways to impress us.

By the way, every song Dimash sings. He doesn't sing it exactly the same again, especially screaming, autumn strong, and sos. Watch his rehearsals they are amazing. Especially adagio, heaven and earth are witness. Dimash has many hidden gems that are not on his main KZbin channel.

Please also listen to my second favorite singer Dan Vasc. He is also classically trained like Dimash but actually a metal singer. His opera is as good as his metal. His most phenomenal performance is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ superstar. He absolutely lives the role.
