Hello Aleks, I went to Dimash's concert in Prague yesterday (Friday). His performance lasted a full 4 hours. He sang, danced and always acted also sang with the audience. The Story of One Sky' was just one song of many (12-16 songs, I forgot to count). It was my third concert but it is always sensational, great, enchanting, enlightening... wonderful!!! Greetings from a Dear from Germany. ❤

👉 Just a few notes and Dimash's angelic voice... and people all over the world melt away. An angel does not need words to convey his message... Everyone understands! I have never heard anything more beautiful. This is a magical new classic masterpiece that people are sure to hear in 300 years. For Christians, Mary is the Mother of God. But Mary is also revered in other religions: in Judaism she is considered the greatest daughter of the people, in Islam she is the mother of the prophet (not God's son) Jesus. The Ave Maria (Eng.: Hail Mary) is one of the most commonly said prayers in Christianity. A Muslim and a Jew created a new grandiose masterpiece. It needs no words and therefore a prayer for all people in this world... breathtaking, touching and simply beautiful. When Dimash asked Master Krutoy to compose a new Ave Maria for him, he imagined an angel... Dimash said in an interview... and the two are overearthly wonderful. I'm lost for words. For me, Dimash is the difference between the music business and true art. Over the past 15 years, the soprano and producer Andrea Chudak has collected over 200 compositions 'Ave Maria' from all eras of music history. A compilation of 68 selected 'Ave Maria' versions gives 'a striking overview of a repertoire that can hardly be grasped in its entirety', says Andrea Chudak. 'From Gregorian chant to arrangements of successful folk songs, to occasional works by composers who have been successful in other genres, and contemporary pieces..."(operetta-researchcenter) Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music. * Igor Krutoy ( piano), *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia. His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Dimash News: Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash. When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count. “On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. It is not without reason that his friend and teacher, the maestro Igor Krutoj, predicts: “Believe me, in the future the world will be at Dimash’s feet.” (www) * Dimash and Stepan Hauser - Ave Maria - kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnvIaGqsbMmdhLc You should watch a video of a world class ice skater from Russia dancing to Ave Maria sung by Dimash: * Anna Shcherbakova ice dancing to - Ave Maria - Europeans 2022 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/npKVoot5oc6Unsk * Dimash as a vlogger. It is a beautiful song and so fitting for Dimash's voice. I know this isn't the only time Krutoy composed specifically for Dimash and together they are making some masterpieces, truly. As I do like watching figure skating, I'll be sure to watch the video you listed, but obviously not react to it. As for the others, since there are so many songs to hear, I don't think I'll be going back to more versions of the same song until I've heard them all... Regardless, for those who are not doing reactions, it might be an interesting video to watch, so I am glad you shared them all. Thank you! ❤❤❤

Good reaction 🙂 Not too much to say about this one, other than it is very soothing and wholesome to listen to. We already know that he is an incredibly technically gifted singer. I don't know if a 16 sec whistle note it TOO hard to pull off, as not a whole lot of air is let out per second, as opposed to a 16 sec belt for instance. Chest voice for 16 seconds? I'm sure he could pull that off as well. As a matter of fact, I'm sure he already has😂 But the CONTROL during the note is immaculate. And I guess that little "break" or "dip" he did there is a nightmare to get right. For normal singers. Have a great weekend, Aleks. Much love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥

Yeah, even I can hold a note for 16 seconds and I'm a smoker, just with inherently good lung capacity. It's HOW he does it there that's so interesting to hear. Also, however much we're used to his range, it's still a remarkably high note... One of the comments even says: "That last couple of notes is a very difficult procedure. There is footage of Dimash in a room with his tutor, learning how to do it. Dimash is holding his own throat and facing a mirror to understand what he is trying to achieve. " and I believe it! 😂 Love to you Sharkster, to you Kiddo (yup, seen the heart) and both to Norway and Bavaria ❤❤❤

Ave, Aleksandra ! Here we have one of those songs whose lyrics might struggle to inspire you. Dimash’s Chinese best friend, Terry Lin, also ventured into this highly poetic exercise with Vitas’s Opera 1 ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKOxm2OOp8ioodk ). Dimash, for his part, tackled Opera 2, a piece full of digusting lyrics, albeit adorned with a crescendoing "aaaa" that evokes the 17th-century castrato duels. I noticed in the comments references to the highest notes achieved by Di Ma Shi in Unforgettable Day at Gakku and his duet Drunken Concubine with the Peking Opera superstar Li Yu Gang ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZO1kpKOr7SNi7M ). For me, this is the perfect opportunity to critique Dimash on something he’s occasionally faulted for : showing his vocal "muscles," essentially saying "Look what I can do." The famous D8 in Gakku doesn’t belong in the song... unless, of course, his intention was to drive away some stray dogs with ultrasonic waves. In French, we’d say "ça vient comme un cheveu sur la soupe" (it comes out of nowhere). On the other hand, his high note in Diva Dance with Li Yu Gang is perfectly justified. It integrates naturally into the composition. Of course, in this Ave by Krutoy, there’s no room for such ostentatious displays, unlike a vulgar Gabriel Henrique. Here, everything exudes serenity, luxury and refinement. Let’s end on an angelic note with my favorite Baby Diva, the 10-year-old Sterre van Boxtel, in her rendition of Vavilov’s Ave (now there’s a composer who had the decency to insert a repetitive "Ave Maria" between the "aaaa"s, giving the piece meaning and substance). As for the little angel herself : wow ! ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/d2GzamptlsSCZsU ).

Ave, Mr. Zero! That's about all my Latin right there. I was supposed to learn it in school, but had bad luck that our teacher was not "the best" out there... 🤣 When you say "a piece full of disgusting lyrics", is Opera 2 something I'd want to avoid or should it go hand in hand with Opera 1? As for both Unforgettable Day and Diva Dance with Li Yu Gang, I am now even more intrigued in hearing both, having read your notes on them. Thank you! ❤

@@AleksReacts No, "Opera 2.0" is Vitas's masterpiece (Vitas himself has created an incalculable number of versions, including one with Li Yu Gang, by the way). No, it was merely a touch of humor on my part regarding the presence of lyrics instead of the iconic "aaaa." In other words, I was humorously calling the presence of lyrics "disgusting" (not the lyrics themselves).

The last note is NOT a whistle note! It is just a C6, which is a normal head voice note for Dimash. He does a messa di voce on that note, and sings it straight-toned or with vibrato. You don't do all these things with a whistle note, which just sounds like a whistle. If you want to hear a real whistle note by Dimash, you need to watch the diva dance duet with Li Yugang or his "Unforgettable Day" in the Gakku concert.
@AleksReacts4 күн бұрын
Ah, so I was tricked by the how high the note is. If I'm Googling this correctly, sounds like it's only 2 notes below the highest on a standard piano. If that's just a normal note for Dimash, kudos to him! 😎 You seem to be saying that there's still something Dimash could surprise me with in either diva dance duet with Li Yugang or in "Unforgettable Day" in the Gakku concert. Since I thought there could be no more this man can do, I have to take you up on that and check those out. Thank you!
@mmsminimalmusic31104 күн бұрын
@@AleksReacts A C6 is a standard note for a soprano. On a piano, there are still two full octaves to the last key, which is a C8.

👉 Hi Aleks, those aren't whistles from Dimash. Yes, it's the whistle register, but Dimash sings falsetto/ head voice. Whistles are difficult to control and have no vibrato. His whistles only start in the 7th and 8th octave. The difference between Dimash's falsetto and his whistle tones can be heard very clearly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZ7SkICgl6yGoNk
@AleksReacts2 күн бұрын
I've been corrected by someone who seems to know a lot more than I do about music and I'm glad it's been explained to me. Truth be told, I can't tell one octave from another - just if it's high or low and if I like it or not. 🤣 The link you shared though says the video is unavailable, but I was pointed to Unforgettable Day and Diva Dance with Li Yugang to hear his whistle notes. I will check those out and find out, I guess.❤

Ave Maria is Catholic. Igor Krutoy is Jewish. Dimash is Muslim. We had already had a glimpse of their ecumenism with Passionne, inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy. Undeniably, the spirit of communion among peoples breathes through these two great artists.

Then again, many people have that in common. In fact, I don't think I've ever heard anyone say they hate music which must mean that on some level most of us enjoy it and understand parts of it at least. As @continentzero7572 said it, this is an excellent way to bring people together, regardless of their religion or lack thereof. It's something to be appreciated both by religious people and secular, praying or not, most will appreciate the beauty of this song.
