The student surpassed his teacher. Maira Maira Mukhammedkyzy coached him in soprano voice techniques but in the end Dimash's soprano voice is much more beautiful to the ear. It's sweet that he let's his teacher have much of the spotlight and let her have the high note in their duet. If you listen carefully Maira has a much more pronounced vibrato which makes her soprano voice a bit jarring to my ears and when Dimash sings immediately afterwards his sweet gorgeous vibrato just falls gently on my ears and sooths away Maira's jaggedness. I believe that's why I never much liked most female opera singers. Not too many have smooth vibrato in their singing. Generally too much and too irritating to my ears to the point some opera voices actually hurt my ears. So hearing Dimash sing soprano notes that fall so beautifully to my ears is absolutely heavenly. I now understand what I couldn't stand about many sopranos and look for and appreciate the female opera singers with voices that do not jar my ears.

This was one of Dimash's teachers, Maira Mukhammedkyzy (Kazakh opera singer). The on-screen graphics are a bit misleading and are (or were) Dimash's and his father's instagram accounts.

I was a bit confused by the title of this. Kanat is Dimash’s father. The lady singing here was one of his teachers I believe If you would like to see Dimash singing with his parents, then look for the song Dearest Mother. Thankyou for all your reactions to Dimash. Love them.

For me they don't sound at all alike - his high notes sound more tender, soft, pure and refined to me. It's a totally different sound, unique to Dimash. Meant as no disrespect, it doesn't take away from the quality of the other singer, or any singer, but it's just... Dimash.

Thank you for your reaction. I think you messed up the title. He sang here with one of his teachers Maira Mukhammedkyzy (I think it is the right name). Kanat + Svetlana Aitbayevtar are his parents.
