yes Dimash was in The World's Best Show in LA, but they cut all his performances to 2 minutes, cut out his Kazakh song for no obvious reason and in the finale he had to compete with 2 kids: one girl from his own country Kazakhstan whom he supports and 12 year old boy playing piano from India, so he quit the competition and let the kids go on. Boy from India finally won the manin prize of 1 mln $. When he told them he is leaving they started offending him, especially Ru Paul. So we do not advice to make reactions to songs from that show. Aw...you guys are fast becoming my favorite reactors of Dimash! He is the best singer on the planet! Nobody comes close to the emotional rollercoaster that he takes me on. Representing USA here. Some fun facts for this performance - the long white flute you see in this video is called a sybyzgy, a side blown flute and one of the national instruments of Kazakhstan. Dimash says “I love you” in three different languages - first in English, then in Mandarin (“wo ai ni”) (twice), and in Kazakh at the end (“men seni suyemin”). He whispers “thank you very much” in Mandarin at the very end. Your “Bruce Lee” comment is interesting and I get what you’re saying because on stage he does come off very confident, but off stage he is very humble and self-effacing. He is the ultimate showman.

Kazakhstan (his Matherlavd), Russia and all countries ex-republics of the USSR (Russian speaking people) and many other countries - this is geography of his fans now 🙂 Kazakh as first and Russian as second languages are native for Dimash. You'll see soon a bold gay at the piano in many Dimash's performances. He is russian famous composer Igor Krutoy. He write songs only for Dimash now. This is very good collaboration of two talent men. The competition "Singer" which you see now was in 2017, Dimash was 23 years old then. Now he is 25 years old and if it could be better his voice became better at all 😁. I love his voice not only for high notes, low notes are beautiful because they are unexpected after falsetto or whistle. Actually he was the winner, in a way. His performances were broadcast on China National TV and Radio. Literally billions of people heard him, and the day after he sang SOS he found himself flanked by two guards when he came down from his hotel room. He had become too valuable to be allowed to go out alone. Not long afterward, his first album came out, and it went platinum in 37 SECONDS.

Hello, i'm native Russian from Moscow. and i agree with you guys, Dimash is an international treasure. I don't know how often people like him visit this Earth, probably 1 time in 10 thousand years. Nobody to compare with. I feel myself a happy person just because i witness his glory. Culturally, geographically and historically, Kazakhtan & Russia are rather close, both countries are parts of EuroAsia. So I understand his behavior and feel a demand to support his Cultural Mission. Hope, you've got the point: Dimash devotes his talent not to get billions of paper money, but to keep a many-centuries cultural tradition and make current people more human. The total humanity needs to be reunited and more shaped spiritually/culturally so people could understand each other better. I am glad that I finally found your channel. I am an American who taught in Kazakhstan for 9 years and shared SOS on Facebook when I first heard it in 2017. Then I kind of lost track of Dimash for a year or so. Also in 2017 I then moved from a Kazakhstan university (as a professor) to a Chinese-owned university in Malaysia where I rediscovered Dimash. He has like a billion followers on Chinese social media. During his "The Singer" competition, he released an album in China, and I heard that it went platinum in just a few minutes because of how famous "The Singer" made him. Now he is learning Mandarin and doing lots of stuff in China, where he is clearly most appreciated. Have you heard Dimash in the newer Chinese competition, "The Masked Singer"? For some reason KZbin is blocking most of the posts. Some reviewers are playing with the video to get around the block, and some reviewers are just posting a photo with audio. But you can watch him on Vimeo (vimeo.com/373569802). I think the idea is for the singers to hide their identity, but there is absolutely no way to hide Dimash's voice. Anyway, for whatever reason, it took KZbin a couple of years to show me your first review of Dimash, and so I've been watching all of them. I enjoy your reactions and your interactions. :)

Hey guys! Rapidly becoming a favorite channel here! So one of the reasons this video, and several others of his, doesn’t have more views is the fact that he’s not super well known in the western world yet. The vast majority his fans are in China...and China actually just straight up blocks KZbin throughout most of the country. Only a few, albeit major, cities actually allow it. But since they’re used to their own KZbin-like video sharing service they just use that. It’s been like this since 2009. It’s called “The Great Firewall of China”. Most if not all sites owned by Google are blocked. Facebook and Twitter are also blocked. It’s said that he has close to a billion followers on the Chinese version of Twitter (Weibo). Anyway. Back to Dimash - it’s so great to see people truly appreciate him! I laugh right along with you as I relive all of these performances as you experience them for the first time. Some of which I saw for the first time over two years ago. This was actually a guest performance the year after he competed. Jessie J was on this particular season and there’s footage of her watching the last part of this song backstage and she seemed thoroughly impressed. If I could recommend a few of my favorite newer performances and actually have you guys watch eventually I’d appreciate it! The Love of Tired Swans might actually be my most favorite song he’s sang. He has an official music video for it but I’d recommend watching a live performance. My most recent favorite is Ogni Pietra which is an Italian song (heavy on the opera btw) that was written for him specifically, which he then sang at the opening ceremony of the European Games back in June, I believe. I would not watch that one though. The sound quality is terrible and you only get to see him like 3 times throughout. The Arnau concert version is best and although there is an official video of this performance from the concert, there is an amazingly HD fan camera video that was taken from the crowd and it’s focused on his face so you can really see/feel it. Sorry for the wall of text...it’s 1:30 AM, I worked all day and am still too high strung from all the caffeine I needed to keep me coherent. US here, just outside of DC to be exact. PS, the contest he dropped out of was in the US and called “The Worlds Best” but they butcher every single performance (by everyone not just Dimash) and it was just an awful show all around anyway. I would recommend staying far far far away from any videos from that show.

Dimash named his fans “Dears” because he says “he loves his fans and when you love someone they are your dear”. Dimash and his entire family are the epitome of “CLASS”! They are a musical family and are very loving and close. Dimash is a Gentleman of the first order, as are his father and grandfather before him. it's the magic and majesty of THAT VOICE that brings so many of his fans to tears, regardless of what he's singing. i discovered him accidentally on KZbin a few weeks ago and can't get enough of him. i live in san francisco now, but grew up in brooklyn and am flying to new york for his first USA solo concert on december 10th in B"KLYN! i'm sure that's his way of acknowledging my devotion. i better say ha ha or the hordes will jump all over me for being so arrogant. love your reactions and assessment of his singing.

I subscribed because I'm a DEARS. Dimash is once in a generation, century perhaps.....vocalist/singer/performer. I'm privileged to be living in the same time as Dimash to witness his magic and quality. Dimash don't just sing......he tells stories......he brings his listeners on journeys, he invited his listeners into his world when he sings......that's why he is HIGHLY rare.

I just found you guys today and I'm so glad. This song always gets me. And yes you're right it was a serious hosted by RuPaul he said on the air that he had been promised that he would not be competing against children and he had to do withdraw it was a moment outside American television I do not know if anybody recovered but it was very classy as you say

Kazakhstan does call him a national treasure. He's delighted me daily for two years - my escape from the news. I'm in Kansas City. You might also like Hua Chen Yu, who they showed watching this performance from the Green Room. He was on The Singer the year after Dimash, in 2018. His music is different, but they share some of the same qualities of experimentation, arranging, having many different voice and styles, and commanding the stage. He also plays a lot of different instruments. Not many artists could pull me away from Dimash videos even for a few minutes, but I love Hua Hua, too. His fans are called Martians. Maybe you will be Martian Dears, too.

Hi guys I'm from Croatia and very very proud to be Dimash Dear...he is just and angel and this is my favorite song from him....did you noticed at the end he said Wo ai ni which means I love you in Chineese and Men seni suyemin which means the same but in Kazakh language...he is a genious...can't wait for next reaction...btw I listen all genre of music because music is my life but I have to admit since I heard Dimash first time two years ago I become addicted to him and everything else is just not good enough for me 😂😂😂 noone can make me happy like he can....thanks for great reaction 😘😘🤗🤗❤❤❤

His music, his voice, stage performance, his singing deeply humble and very respectful young man got 82 countries and over millions fan love him deeply. I've been a fan since Singer 17 but became a Dimashified Dear ✌️💛 with this song, closely followed by the incredible Sinful Passion, and many more songs since. Dears come from 85 countries, over 225 fan clubs across the world, and nearly 12 million fans. However, as you say, thats a drop in the ocean compared to the fans he should have and will have very soon. 🌸🌺🌸 I've seen him live in London and NurSultan this year, can't go to NY but plan to go to as many more concerts as possible. He is simply #Incomparable...and I'm old enough to have seen the 'greats' sing! No one connects to my soul the way Dimash does, in KNOW for instance 😍😍 He is the Golden #KazakhLegend, truly loved by all who connect to his astonishing voice and his humanity 😘
