Excellent reaction! I believe you're now Dimashified! Americans, myself included, rarely get the opportunity to see and hear artists like Dimash because the record and music broadcasting industry is centered on what they believe sells in the US. KZbin is changing those perceptions, thank goodness! I stumbled across Dimash about 6 months ago and now can't go a day without experiencing his magic. By the way, the guy in the white shirt standing in the audience applauding is multi-billionaire Igor Krutoy, a major mover and shaker in the Russian music industry. Following this performance, he came out of retirement to compose songs and play the piano for Dimash. They have a very nice father-son relationship. He is also linked to Diana Ankudinova, a 17 year old Russian girl with a very unique voice. You may want to react to her as well...start with Rechenka, performed when she was 14 years old, and Wicked Game when she was 15. Enjoy your journeys!! Dimash and Diana are my two favorite singer-performers...I've never heard anything like them, and I'm 69 years old!

One appreciates your enthusiasm when listening and watching the unparalleled vocal gift of Dimash, but during his performance one may not make a comment while the tape is running because one may miss hearing the intricacies of his vocal gymnastics. Dimash is not always about higher, bigger, further, even more blatant. He wants to take us to other levels with his singing and even if he often uses his vocal range, sometimes the songs where that is not the case are especially wonderful. It is just important to enjoy and not to fall flat, Dimash has to bring more. You will always be deeply touched when you allow it.

Every performance shows a different side to Dimash that you haven’t seen from him before! Even if you’ve seen him perform a song at one venue, it will be different on another performance, so you never know what to expect! I think a great next reaction would probably be Adagio from The Singer competition (2017), kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5LUY2eFndB1iKc that shows off Dimash’s epic performance skills. It’s in English too, although at that time his English wasn’t brilliant (he had to learn the song phonetically in a week!) but his performance skills are so incredible in this specific performance, it really doesn’t matter that much, it will still be the best performance you have ever seen prior to life before Dimash! Looking forward to you doing more reactions from Dimash, I’ve loved your reactions to him to date! His more recent songs are also epic! His range is now at over 7 octaves, so you really are just at the beginning of your Dimash journey! We ‘dears’ will love to follow along with you! I cannot say that there is a certain Dimash song that is better than the rest. Dimash does not show all his capabilities in any of his songs. In each new song he surprises us with new facets of his talent. He always has a trump card up his sleeve;) Almost all of Dimash's songs, released by him over the past 3 years, are on my playlist. He never disappoints, always surprises and delights.

It's been said that Dimash at 6yrs old could identify and sing in all different keys. He has been at his craft since 3 or 4 yrs old. Been on stage since 5 yrs old. Eldest son of a music teacher and singer father and opera singer mother. There is lots of love coming from his family and you can see that transcend on stage. His ambition is to turn young minds towards Kazakh music. He wants to be a teacher and he is currently studying for his Doctorate in Music. He nailed his Masters degree in Kazakh music last year with honors, receiving highest grading ever given in Kazakhstan. All this at only 26 yrs of age and he has the voices that touches your soul. He truly deserves all the accolades he gets. He has so much creativity so much to give. He stands out on his own. He is peerless.

Dimash was a child prodigy born in Kazakhstan to professional singer parents. He had perfect pitch at age 2, began piano and vocal training at 5, and first performed at 6. At 15 he was winning singing competitions across Euroasia and had graduated from The Performing Arts High School. He was offered a position with The Kazakhstan National Opera at age 22 but decided to go for a career in pop music creating a new genre called "Popera" mixing classical & pop styles within one song. He was launched to superstardom through his amazing performances on the Chinese tv singing competition "I am Singer" at age 23 in 2017. Now, at 26 he has a 10 million member fan club and has performed concerts world-wide. His 1st album in 2019 went Platinum in 37 seconds and Triple Platinum in less than an hour. He also has earned a B.A. in Classical Voice, an M.A. in Contemporary Voice, and an M.A. in Musical Composition. Throughout all this, he remains a well-grounded and humble person. I believe he is a 21st century musical phenomenon.

A word of advice: Please avoid reacting to videos where he appears to be on AGT or The Voice. Those were spliced together. Dimash has never been on those shows. Also please avoid reacting to any of his appearances on the "World's Best" shows. He was ill at the time, and they did not treat him fairly there. These are all fine for private viewing, but would not get you near the views that the Singer series and the videos on Dimash's own channel would get you. I also recommend privately viewing some vocal coaches' reactions to the videos you have already reacted to. They are entertaining and informative. 😁

Welcome to the Dimash rabbit hole. The band A-Studio is originally from Kazakhstan. The keyboard player, Baigali Serkebaev, composed the song together with the poet Ilia Reznik, and the song was first performed in 1998. The singer of the group A-Studio passed away in 2015, and in this concert, the group was backing up guest vocalists. The triangle man is multi-percussionist Ilya Pokrovsky, a very talented man and a close friend of Dimash and member of the Dimash team (DQ Team). He plays various percussion instruments and accompanies Dimash in all his concerts. Someone explained that the special tribal riff is something practiced in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and other parts of Asia. A similar technique is also used in some parts of the Middle East. It is referred to by some as a "glottal stop". We use it too when we say "uh oh". A Kazakh KZbinr commented that Dimash used a Kazakh singing technique, called 'komeymen aytu'. You can hear it among the Turan Group. Sakha people use this technique too; they call it 'kylyhah'. I read somewhere that the tribal vocalization was a tribute to the deceased singer, as it is similar to a technique usually used by women in Kazakh funeral ceremonies. This concert was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up in the first row, Billionaire Igor Krutoy, a famous Ukrainian and Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter. Dimash prompted him to come out of retirement and compose masterpieces for him to sing, such as I miss you, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, just to name a few. Since this concert, he has been collaborating with Dimash, writing music with his vocal range in mind, and often accompanying him on the piano. So you'll see more of him. It must be very satisfying for him to sit down and compose music without constraints (limitations by ordinary singers). High notes, low notes, whatever his genius mind can conceive, Dimash will achieve.

That ethnic “wailing” is used at funerals in the Middle East, and Dimash added it to honor the original member of the band/singer of this peace because he had been killed (Iin an auto accident). It's a etnic style with very large vibrato and voice reverb and echo.

The reason the guitarist & keyboardist looked shocked or puzzled & not everyone stood up is because there was a glitch in this version. After Dimash does the chanting, as he is about to do the amazing run up, there is a hesitation that threw everything off. There is a glitch-free version available. The lack of standing is a cultural tradition thing. The man in the white shirt who did stand is Igor Krutoy, who plays an enormous role in Dimash's career. He came out of retirement to write many of the songs Dimash sings, though he did not write this one.

The pianist is the composer of this piece. It was originally performed by a Kazakh group called Studio A and the original singer passed several years back. Dimash added a traditional lament in honour of the original artist. Daididau is also lovely. Welcome Dear.
