I have had a really tough time with this song. He starts singing and I start ugly crying and I could not understand why. I guess the sadness in his eyes in his voice just breaks my heart without understanding the words.It is a magnificent all encompassing performance.

Thank Camille! I always love to receive your comments. The violin solos are so wonderful. Did you think of Schindler’s List? Itzhak Perlman played the solo violin for the original soundtrack. A lot of it is on the G string (the lowest) giving it an almost viola warmth.

As always, Dimash’s vocals transcend language. His emotions are very evident throughout this performance. As much as I would love to hear this song in English, I am afraid that our mother tongue may not do justice to the sentiment behind the lyrics. This song is truly beautiful and the violinist was fantastic… the ascending arpeggios are so clean and it is a departure for Dimash who usually leads the modulations vocally rather than instrumentally.
