Holy Moly sums it up pretty darn accurately. I discovered Dimash in the fall of 2017 when YT hit me with a video suggestion of his live performance of SOS from the annual Chinese singing competition I Am Singer performed earlier that year 2017. Dimash was just 22 years old at the time. He was the youngest ever competitor and first non-Chinese (he is from Kazakhstan) ever to receive a special invite to compete. As such, he was competing against established Chinese singers from different genres of music all vying for the title of Chinese Singer of the Year. Although Dimash had won every international singing competition he had entered up to that point, he was a virtual unknown to his Chinese audience, judges and fellow contestants. Not expected to last deep into the 14 week competition, Dimash carried the extra burden of being asked to OPEN the annual show. He chose to perform, SOS a super difficult French song for his Madarin speaking audience. The result was he created such a sensation that the show had to provide him constant bodyguards for the remainder of the competition. Any of the songs he performed for that show are reaction worthy. Notable songs...Opera 2 (only performance of his u will find), Adagio, Autumn Strong (he learned this well known Chinese song phonetically in Mandarin in one week) and many others. Highly recommend Sinful Passion 2018 and then move on to more recent performances of Ave Maria (a vocalise version composed by Igor Krutoy Ukranian born Russian billionaire music mogul created specifically for Dimash), Stranger, Love is Like A Dream, The Story of One Sky and well, anything from Dimash. He doesnt disappoint. Dimash is the most talented, trained singer of our age imo and many others. His fan base is extensive world wide and he chooses to remain independent to control his own musical path and career. Enjoy and thank you for sharing Dimash. Mark

Great reaction! Dimash has no equal musically, he's not just one of the most educated musicians alive he has a way of getting straight to your heart. Although his high range is shocking, his low range is deep and full and resonant. I'd advise taking a wander through his Kazakh folk songs, they're truly beautiful but as he flies across genres with the same skill he goes through registers , there is literally nothing he can't sing. When people debate whether he's the greatest voice on the planet I always say to them, Dimash can literally sing anything that anyone has sung before but no one can sing everything that Dimash can sing.

Oh my God your reaction shocked me as much as seeing Dimash again. From the first note and the beams of light shinning down came on you were moved. Just loved your reaction. This not an alien. But a person born with the vocal chords and his whole body (a high fashion model too) on stage at 2 yrs, then when found at five he perfect pitch enrolled him at the university in the music a academy, at five performing on stage and winning his first piano contest. Two master and in his doctorate given a film scholar ship in LA at the New York film school … over 7 octave range… who knows what it is now practicing 3 hours a day. Any genre any style picking and choosing an independent agent that collars writes produces directs plays 9 instruments sings in 15 languages. This guy is Superman. Wikipedia has a bio that is the closest to the truth but maybe can’t keep up with him. Comments are great, but with someone so unusual that shocks with every song the rumors from you tube are just rampant.

Dimash is THE Voice. Singing in 12+ languages and different styles (opera, neo-classic, pop, jazz, rap, Kazakh folk ...) He is outstanding as a singer, but also as a person. He is not comparable, although there are many good singers.

Great reaction! Not one of my favorites versions of SOS by Dimash. I prefer his live performances in front of an audience, but I see you have started to explore some of his other songs. You have so many other good ones to see. Check Out: Sinful Passion (Greshnaya Strast), Adagio (The Singer), Daybreak ((Bastau, 2017), Opera 2 (The Singer), Unforgettable Day (Gaku) for the famous D8, Endless Dimensions (Any version) and Queen Medley with the Super Vocal Boys. Just to name a few.

For me personally.. Dimash is not my cup of tea 😅 but as allways love your reactions, now that your checking other artists too.. i would suggest a band called Nightwish its a symphonic metal band from my home country Finland 😎 a song that i would recomend would be Nightwish - Ghost love score (live at waken 2013) Keep it up Paula 👍

😉You have just been Dimashed! Get ready for another goosebump filled rollercoaster. He is from Kazakhstan, can speak and sing in multiple languages and has been recorded hitting D8 whistle tone on the scale. My personal preference are for his older performances when he was younger and much lesser known. Some of my faves are.. Opera 2 from the 'singer' talent show (6 years ago) Sinful Passion (ENG subs no glitch version) (4 years ago) Love is like a dream (Alla Pugacheva) (4 years ago) Olympico (Igor Krutoy version) (4 years ago) EDIT: All live performances I also do suggest you go and watch the SOS first performance from the 'singer' talent show in your own time. It was his first real exposure to a bigger audience and the reactions of the other contestants and crowd of utter disbelief is fantastic to watch! I don't want to clog up any other reactions to other things people have requested so I will leave it there and thank you for taking my request! 😀

I have been a 'dear' (fan) for 4 years and had the same reaction as everyone who has stumbled across him, tingles, goosebumps and a brain short circuit 😆 He is very much like Ren in the sense that he very down to earth and believes in lifting people up. He advocates for humanity, global cooperation and peace. He is humble, shy and loves his family and community and is bringing people together through his music just like our Ren 😉 Cannot wait for your reactions to his other songs!

Hello Paula, I just found you - I'm glad you've found Dimash....! I'm old enough to have "Been-Around-The-Block-A-few-Times." I've pretty much seen and heard them all....this guy is the best..! I've found an official music video that Dimash and friends made in 2012 when he was a teenager. I haven't seen anyone show or react to it yet.
