Dimash is Muslim who asked Igor Krutoy, a Jewish man, to compose this song of prayer for all people. Igor is a very wealthy composer who came out of retirement to compose for Dimash. He finally found a voice that can sing what he wants to compose. The 2 together are magnificent. Heavenly.

Dimash's rendition of "Ave Maria" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered, and no matter how many times I have already watched it, I am still moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This was the final of three songs Dimash premiered in August 2021 during his appearance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krutoy on the piano. This is a vocalise interpretation of Schubert's "Ave Maria " 's opening vocals." Igor Krutoy composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. I read somewhere that the piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music, which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to "a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!" The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce," the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most challenging vocal exercises, and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

Dimash performed three songs at this New Wave event, Stranger, Ave Maria and Fly Away, which is a pop song in English. It might be fun to do the third one as it shows a very different side of Dimash, I had to laugh when you said you were going to pause more often, then after the first quick pause, you completely forgot. You were mesmerised.

He really is beyond a voice it is now a finely tuned instrument and that instrument is the most versatile and emotional of them all because it vibrates and speaks to our spirit.
