It is completely out of the ordinary how Dimash Qudaibergen manages to convey extremely different emotions by singing almost exactly the same lyrics but using a different dynamic, a different key, a different timbre and different sound production techniques! He begins with the shyness and doubt of a stranger who enters a territory totally foreign to him (when he plays the piano and with sounds surrounded by breath), moves on to the desire to try his strength to achieve a new beginning in life (then when he achieves that magnificent passage through the whole spectrum of his vocal rank using very different techniques of singing on each register) and reaches the end to have the power of the winning hero who not only tried, not only fought but finally defeated (when he shows us the power of his belting and that high and super long note of 20 seconds)! I only scored 3 moments, but they were more because between the choruses there were 2 slightly different moments of storytelling, but both in its register below the bass-baritone and there was another chorus (in total there were 5 choruses and two slightly more parts of the story, all in different dynamics, different keys and very different vocal techniques performed impeccably from a technical point of view, but also with strong emotional effects in the sense of impressive and maximum effect on the audience that practically listened to the whole song almost hypnotized)! For me it was the perfect song of the moment and it was a sublime demonstration of how much Dimash Qudaibergen can still progress even though it is already far beyond his contemporaries !

Totally agree! Those are the very same emotions i recieved from the song when i first heard it.. the first two of the 4 vocalise phrases provoke the hesitation and uncertainity in the first phrase, pain and struggle (it makes me feel deep sadness) in the 2nd phrase, the third is the resurrection and the 4th is the acheivement.. this song is very well performed and it revived my faith in Dimash's artistry after losing interest because of "be with me", which is in my opinion the worst song after give me your love

Thank you for a great reaction! I agree, this is incredible in every way. A masterpiece. Btw, the idea of using that Kazakh instrument, kobyz, in this performance came from Dimash. Fits very well to the haunting atmosphere of the song. I also feel like Dimash has stepped to a whole new level with this performance. But, also overall, as his newest performances show. Mindboggling, when he was already so good. It's even more amazing to think about how much he has improved his performing skills during this pandemic - when there haven't been live performances almost at all. Dimash hasn't rested on his laurels for sure... He adjusted to the situation. He made MV:s which are like mini movies - this developed his acting skills. It really shows in 'Stranger'. Dimash gave a worldwide online concert with excellent stage production - without live audience, but with full dedication and energy. Some videos from his Digital Show has been released lately. All good. Dimash has surely kept practising. His voice is maturing - his lower register is so full and deep now. And last but not least, I think he has also matured as a person and artist. He has had time to stop, rethink his plans, find another ways to reach to his audience. And, he has experience losses and misery of this pandemic... I feel he has new confidence too. Very excited to see his next works, which are on their way...

I didn't think it possible for Dimash to GREATLY improve. I thought he'll naturally get somewhat better with time and age and experience, but I thought he was already at peak level. THEN THIS SONG! And he increases his lower range, increases his power, uses a whole new vocal sound in the 2nd tier for the 4 tiered vocalize and is more cinematic and charismatic than ever before. He is just Epic in every way, just like his song! EPIC, CINEMATIC, MYSTICAL, MAGICAL, THRILLING TO THE MAX!
