Great reaction. 'Strangers' lyrics are intended to bring attention to the plight of the evergrowing numbers of displaced peoples all around the world - forced from their homes for a variety of reasons - and then having to start again with nothing as 'strangers in strange lands'. Dimash uses his 'many voices' here to represent the voices of the displaced - including that high childlike cry which so 'startles' everyone. Great performance by all. The Kobyz, by the way, is a very ancient Kazakh instrument ( that might even be an ancestor of our modern day violin) that was used by Shamans & Medicine Men from ancient times. It's sound was thought to fend off evil spirits & heal the sick. No wonder everyone loves it. It touches something in the Soul doesn't it!

He was a judge on the show this year rather than a contestant, so these songs were just for performance. Can you imagine the relief of the other singers after hearing him sing this and thinking, "Thank God I don't have to go up against this guy!!" I want you to remember Michael Jackson when you react to Dimash. They are alike about some things. Dimash sang his first stanza and you cut him off before his phrase was finished. Not only that when you did it you didn’t go back before the cut off so the listener could hear the whole phrase. This is one of his dears who also appreciated Michael and so does Dimash.in his education he got Michael and Freddy Mercury the only two vocalist that he can be compared to. Michael also held out those notes then at the end flipped the note up or down into the reverb. Here Dimash was airy then whatever he did when he let the note go there was the sound of a bump that repeated several times into the reverb. You messed that up. You wouldn’t know that unless you knew how to react to artist. Fine if you accidentally cut someone off. Tell your listener what you did and go back to hear it straight on thru. Dimash is an artist like none there ever was. Do you know how technical he is? He is with the sound engineer practicing live the rehearsal and tells him/her where and what to do with his voice or Igor has told Dimash what would be best. These songs are their babies before they are released. This is how close they are to their art. You a great reactor. I gave you a like and subscribed ages ago. Your algorithms are ok by me. Just remember all the things Michael can do …Dimash has studied him for years dancing and singing.

It is HOBYZ and ancient Sharman instrument usually have bells or things that make small sounds to call up old Gods made from baked goatskin. Few can play this instrument. This is same as played in Qarian ELMI during lock down Dimash was bored so made a short movie of Great Steepe of Turkey & them his song which is amazing and awesome. & same instrument used.
