Dimash wrote this song when he was 16 or 17 years old and the lyrics were written by Oral Baissengir, of course in Kazakh. This performance was in Kazakhstan (Gakku TV is a Kazakh television channel. I heard there were about 150,000 spectators and the city center had to be completely closed). There he hit his highest note so far, his famous D8. You don't need to look for this note on the piano, the keys weren't enough for that anymore. Some say the tone isn't exactly pleasing to the ear, but it doesn't make it any less spectacular. If we check other versions that Dimash sings of this song (he wrote when he was younger), we can see a melisma or other very beautiful variations in this part of the "whistle". Here, playing on an open stage and with some discomfort in the return (we can see several times adjusting the earphone) we realize, in this specific part of the song, that he is going to do something and, not being able to perform what he pretended (perhaps interference from the audience the ragged feedback has hampered his concentration), so he sends this historic and wonderful C#8 modulated to D8 and vibrato! A more technical analysis we can see that the notes sound dissonant, as they do not belong to the harmonic field of the tonality of the music. Even so, it's a show of technique! He must have thought instantly: "Since I couldn't do what I wanted, I'm going to break bad out of the tent and send the inconceivable and supernatural D8 (4,698.64 Hz)!" Of course this is a joke of mine, but it makes us wonder: What's Dimash's limit?

Well done. Your reaction is how I felt when I first got to know Dimash on KZbin. He blew my mind. It changed me. I felt compelled to get my old body out of my armchair, find a way to see him in concert for myself. I believe there will not be another singer of his level of talent in my life time or even longer. Well he had told us that when he was trying to sing his juseley G7 but his voice cut out and he thought he had to give the audiens anouther one. He dident went for this high D8 it just came out! He was 23 years old here and it was the autom after "Iam a singer" competion in China that made him famous over night. So we cant say we heard al of what he can sing and probebley never will. I just love him. In several performances of this song, the highest note is usually in the seventh octave. At this concert, he failed to pick it up at the first moment and accidentally jumped into the 8th octave, starting with C8 and going up to D8 plus vibrato and holding for 5 seconds. Great reaction . Haha actually I think you missed the dog whistle part! 😂 If you look right before the D8 dolphin note- he meant to sing his high note just before. He even shook the mic like he does to show he’s really singing. Some say “nothing” came out & so he corrected with the D8, but what if it only seemed like nothing to us..? He’s the best. Personally though I don’t even care about his extremes. Glad you checked it out. When you’re ready to see what heaven sounds like check out Ave Maria. And for reference- he premiered 3 new songs at New Wave 2021.. the 1st was Stranger which you’ve seen. Then *Fly Away* premiered on a following night, & *Ave Maria* on the closing night (new composition like you’ve NEVER seen).. Both those songs are styles you haven’t seen from him yet. Fly Away is also in English is & light & fun, a pop style, no real extremes.

😁😁😁 I would love to introduce u to other singers on Dimash's level, but I am really sorry, I do not know any 😬 I searched a lot, trust me 🤷🏼‍♀️ I noticed, somebody mentioned Yma Sumac - yeah, she can go extremely high, but to my ears, her voice tone is not pleasant at all.... 🤷🏼‍♀️ There was a reactor, who said couple of years ago, that if he finds another singer comparable to Dimash, he's gonna eat his sock........ He still has both socks 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes, a.sustain D8 carried fo whistle register. Btw he did this after have received 6 injections to his throat and was told to NOT sing that day.

What you just heard was first a rare mistake by Dimash he had planned a F7# and it did not come out and rewound and a D8 funny connected with vibrato slipped out. BTW he admitted he could go higher but wouldn't make beautiful music which is his intention, not trying to set world records. Prior to this he has done many whistle notes with the previous high being G7#. And truly he is right higher would not sound good as well much higher you would not hear it.
