This song has a heavy weight due to his writing this song as a tribute to his music career. Deep tones, mixed with light tone, mixed in with heavy and graceful emotions. This kid is incredible, his power is next level! It is hard to control a voice as big as his but he does it wonderfully! people notice right away the incredible range but it takes a bit of time to realize how incredible his control is. He moves from full chest to mix or head voice or whistle and from any of these to another seamlessly and without effort, in fact you tend to not even notice because the phrasing is so beautiful constructed. Being from a country bordering Russia and China has certainly exposed him to those musical cultures and western music being so pervasive has also made its way into his life...... he then uniquely blends and mixes those influences ( hence your scaling comment ). I've just listened to it. You meant the performance during which he produced a frequency like one produced by a malfunctioning mic? That's ridiculous of course, but I'm not sure if that's within his significant range (and the E7 as well). To me, Eb6 is the upper boundary of his significant vocal range (for consistent usage in singing). It seems that he loves to use extensively the head voice, which in my opinion is his killing weapon. Those 2 whistle notes are rather unstable. Anyway, insane techniques by a savage male vocalist...

Voyage Fest there was no malfunctioning mic! Where did you get such info. It's a note that he hit with his vocal cords. If you're talking about the way he was waiving the mic, it's a thing that dimash does from time to time to give some effects. Obviously it's not a note that you can sing with but tell me someone who will even get close to it. Even a piano doesn't go that far.

AyLeenToRa It’s all well and dandy to appreciate Dimash for his unique tone, range and versatility, but to say his technique is flawless is pushing it way too far. He has a very limited supported range of less than 2 octaves, has noticeable strain in his high belts and tension in his head voice. But no doubt he has great potential and could go down as one of greatest of his generation if he develops proper vocal technique over time.
