Dimash and Jackie have been friends for years, Dimash has done the OSTs for two of Jackie's movies. The songs Be Happy and This Love. Jackie does sing, Dimash borrows Jackie's recording studio when he needs to. This was the first year for these awards and I believe Jackie played a big part in setting up the award. Dimash was working on the song (amongst others) with the composer Nathan Wang when he was living in LA.
