Great reaction, thank you so much!! This is one of my favourite duets of Dimash and yes you are right, Xiaoyun does have an incredible voice, is classically trained and has a glowing stage presence. Together they are gaspingly gorgeous. And the Goth vibe is sexy and mysterious. Fantastic duet. The song warns young girls not to fall for the wrong man or they'll attract a world of pain - the lyrics are poetic and metaphorical but powerful. Good advice for the innocent. Dimash clearly plays the dark and seductive male role, a little like the Phantom of the Opera. Great song, great atmosphere. Hope to see a lot more of those two together in future.

The thing around the mic is an advertising plaque. Chinese shows seem to do this a lot from what I've noticed. During one of Dimash's Singer 2017 days, he appeared on other Chinese shows with similar mic'ing and his was turned around so you couldn't see the advertiser. The host on that show received inner mic instructions to turn his mic around but after he did that with Dimash's mic, Dimash jokingly turned it back...to the delight and laughs of the Chinese audience. This was some kind of competition show and Dimash picked Xiaoyun for his duet partner and Gong Linna, the lady sitting in the white dress when the camera panned, picked Dimash. You have to react to their duet, "Becoming a Poet." It's just as beautiful. Link below. This song has something to do with a video game, I believe. I think she is opera trained. I really love this duet and yes, their voices are perfect together. They have good chemistry.... I was expecting a last note at that point but when she gave that killer smile and eye contact...and Dimash smiled back, I was satisfied.... made for an intriguing, unexpected ending, matching the song and mood. The melody is very intriguing making me want to see Dimash and her or Aida Garafullina or Zarina, Kazakh opera singer, singing The Phantom of the Opera, maybe with Hauser providing some cello collabs. Dimash already has a mysterious essence about him so these kinds of performances are perfect. Loved it. Becomng a Poet is not only beautifully done, but it has a surprising but well done genre change that heightens the emotions. This performance honors the life and poetry of a young woman who was born with an inability to move anything but a finger. The duet and the poet's story is mesmerizing and haunting. The beauty of Huang, her voice, and that dress and decor with all that intricate beadwork is such that you have to keep looking at her and it all. And yes, they blend into such a feature of extravagance and wonder in sound, that I wished it would never stop. I have watched this and the Mortal song so many times, and they are new every time. There is also one about a poet with another lady that has rap in it that will pleasantly surprise you too.

great reaction. There's another duo from this same show called Become a Poet and It's actually my favorite. It's about an extremely disabled woman (Jenny Bao) who can only lift one finger, but she writes poems. This song is based on one of them. She actually speaks at the end of the song. I have been a Dear for 8 years and I can give you my personal comment that I kept sharing everywhere. So: Dimash is a miracle, so his absolute powerful and unshakable presence on stage, compared by some to a god of music, sometimes to a prince or king, the energy he absorbs from the Universe, then how he anchors himself to the Earth, his connection with the Divinity, all at a place, it gives him the strength and confidence to "command the audience, to order the orchestra, to order the song", so that everything comes out the way he wants and how Dimash feels, that is unique. All these qualities are only at Dimash, absolutely. The goosebumps and hypnosis induced by Dimash are the characteristics of his concerts and appearance on stage, which are shaped by his endless beauty, sometimes translucent, sometimes sensual, sometimes angelic !!! Dimash is storm, thunder, lightning, sun, rain, smile, but also love and last but not least he is our hope and our daily light, he is our spiritual food when you put your head on the pillow and start dreaming like tomorrow it's a day… !!!!! Dimash has God's kiss on his heart!!!! First, Ave Maria is a superhuman vocal exception, which takes you by surprise. Being a vocal song, a pure masterpiece, the magic of Dimash's voice is unleashed in the ether and is the fire that burns the soul and heart through love, beauty, elevation and purity. The essence of Dimash's voice as in a perfect symbiosis, and the vocal chords transport you to another dimension. Second, from my point of view, I cannot make a top ranking of Dimash's songs, the original ones, regardless of the composer (Igor, Dimash or someone else), leaving aside the covers. I come back to the idea, so I can't make a top. Why? Simple: each song by Dimash has a different theme, a different melodic line, different feelings, different tonalities. Each track is unique in lyric, interpretation, musical essence and message. If you listen to one, you like it more, if you listen to another, you like it even more, you can't decide because you can't. There are pieces with a religious touch, patriotic pieces, pieces of love, pieces of courage etc. If in an interview Dimash was asked what song he likes, I don't know what answer he would give... Almost all of them are masterpieces. It is as if Dimash is a father of dozens of children. I don't think he could tell a difference between them. Each piece has its place in time and space, it is appropriate in a certain context, event. Each song takes you on a certain journey, be it magical, be it angelic, be it love or be it a story, either sad, or happy, or fighting, or patriotic. We have to be consistent and say that all the pieces are exceptional, not one can be compared to another, because a parent loves all his children the same!!!

Thank you. The Y on the mic is just advertising. Often you will see that in China where they are promoting a product. There's many clips where Dimash goofs around and puts it on the back etc. It doesn't have anything to do with where to hold the mic. This is a stunning duet. Dimash is fantastic when singing with anyone.

However, she has never sung in an opera (Chinese people don’t favor Bel Canto). Very apt. 😆 The winners, Dimash and Gong Linna (also very big star in China) won the Golden Song award for their duet. "Become a Poet". A poem written by a paralyzed young woman who can only move her thumb. She types with it and writes poetry. This poem was turned into a song and sung first by Gong Linna. Gorgeous song.

It was just a suggestion. Those mics are particularly prone to feedback issues. If you look at the head of it, there are what looks like grates at the bottom of the head. If those get covered due to it being a more comfortable part of the mix to hold, guaranteed they will feedback through the system which would not be ideal. Turns out their advertisements anyway ,😊
