Taeyang is from Big Bang which was one of the biggest male Kpop groups before BTS. They're from YG which is the same company that formed BlackPink. So to think that a member from BigBang and a member of BTS (2 of the biggest and most popular male kpop groups EVER) would ever do a collab was crazy. Taeyang is also like 7 years older than Jimin so to see this happen is a BIG, BIG, BIG deal. Also this was choreographed by 19 year old Bailey Sok who is a member of Kinjaz and helps choreograph some of the biggest kpop groups around. She's UNBELIEVABLE. If you like dancing, you should check out her stuff. She's legit.

I love Taeyang and Big Bang, and of course the ever-iconic GD, but I don't see the MJ as much as y'all do. I remember the first time I saw Taemin. It was his ADVICE video. That reminded me of MJ. Not just his incredible moves, but even more so his avant-garde style and art, you know? I had never seen anything like that before, and in that way it reminded me of how I felt with MJ, just doing things others had not thought to do before.

Taeyang means Sun . He is the main vocalist and dancer in BigBang. They debut in 2006 and changed kpop to the core. The first rapline, the first to write, produce their music, the first lightstick, the first international award MTV Europe 2011 ( BTS debut 2013) , the first real world tour Alive 2012 . They proved solo careers are possible without disband. They are the bad guys , the rock stars that brake the rules and push the limits . After 5 years hiatus members are coming back with solo projects. We may have 4 solo albums this year. Taeyang is the first . His 4th solo album should come this month . Rapper TOP joined a crew of artists who plan to fly to the moon . His album should drop when that rocket is ready . Daesung joined a new company and will have his own sub-label. Album, musicals, concerts and tv shows are in plan. Leader GDragon said he plans to release new music in 3 months so around summer. Until then he is releasing his 4th shoe colaboration with Nike . Kwondo1 Panda and it comes with a clothing line colaboration too between his fashion house Peace Minus One and Nike

It’s Tae-yang (phonetic); I’ve never heard of him being the MJ of KPop but what he does have in common with Jimin is a love/adoration for MJ and a stellar career - he’s considered to be an OG. They both pay homage to MJ in their own dance styles and videos (you can see MJ’s influence in Jimin’s dancing everywhere). This was Jimin’s dream…Taeyang has been his Idol since the day he set eyes on him - he’s a very special (unproblematic) guy with a very similar personality to Jimin, which makes this collab extra special and historic!

Taemin, not Taeyang, is known as the MJ of kpop lol. Taeyang is still a good dancer but he has a more RnB style. Whereas Taemin has a style closer to MJ. Check out the dance practice for Move by Taemin. Taemin and Jimin also did a performance together many years ago, it's dance focused.

V special track representing the history of K-pop… In 1992 a group called seo Taino and boys debuted.. they were a complete departure for K-pop Hip hop music with meaningful lyrics… they went on hiatus in 1996 And one of the members Yang hyun suk formed YG entertainment which would become one of the “big 3” companies of K-pop YG debuted a hip hop group called 1tym led by teddy park and they would become part of what we call gen 1. They had a harder rap sound than had been seen before It was 1Tym who inspired bank si hyuk (bang pd or hit an bang) to form BTS… 1Tym disbanded in 2006 and teddy park became an in house producer for YG In 2006 YG debuted big bang The biggest and most innovative gen 2 group.. Taeyang was a singer and dancer for big bang Taeyang was jimins biggest inspiration when he was getting started… In 2013 BTS debuted under big hit while big bang was at the top of their game… In 2021 big hit and YG reached a partnering agreement… In 2023 teddy park co produced and co wrote vibe with Taeyang and teddy suggested the collab with jimin a member of the significant gen 3 group… Taeyang came back from a six year break from solo releases after his military service marriage and having a son to make this track….
