Firstly, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us commoners, ha ha; but truly, thank you. My family seems to be cursed with major health issues that are chronic, relapsing and metastatic. Knowing how to do my own coloring/highlights is imperative to my bank account balance. I've been in sales, marketing and management my entire working career so having the ability to look my best at a DIY price really combats one's depression while also boosting one's confidence. While re-entering school as a 40 something woman, it is much easier to present oneself to the world when we know we look our best and that knowledge reduces the anxiety some of us feel when doing something new or something we haven't done in years. The dreaded job/career hunt is paramount to caring for our families, so I reiterate how much I appreciate you and others like you for providing us the knowledge to get the processes, colors, patterns and styles correct. What you and others so graciously gift us is the ability to look our best while still being able to afford us the ability to purchase our kid's school supplies, medicines for our aging relatives, and time off work while our spouses and kids are receiving chemo or a kidney. Thank you! My hair is past my waist for the first time in years. My highlights (which always require a toner) had 6-8 inches of root growth. I have highlighted my hair this long myself once, long ago in my twenties - and I have relied on KZbin for techniques. Many (most)poster's videos do not go into the color details. I am going to check out more of your videos but may I ask a question? Are you using an ash brown demi-permanent color as THE toner OR are you adding highlights and a root shadow? Hope you reply! I will look up your other socials, too. Take care!....just watched the full video~ yesterday I watched a youtube video and I believe it autoplayed and I paused it and left it ....came back today and began to finish YOUR video, lol. I just saw your toning and now I gotta go watch the beginning! thanx again : - )

This is truly stunning! I wondered if you might clarify a question I had? Did you use Demi on the roots AND as the transition between the Root and lightener? I know some people use permanent at the root, but my experience has been that the growout is much less low-maintenance. Interested to know your opinion 🤍

Hi there , I’m from Australia and we almost never use 40 volume at all ! Just wondering when you said it was about 32% peroxide moving towards the top of the head you painted over those blonde ends aswell, how do you ensure not to damage the hair? And have a sustainable blonde that’s not going to break over time ?! I know your using olaplex but I know even with it in your colour you still have to be careful .. love love love your videos just wondering on how that works for you ?! 🌸

Hi Jamie, thank you so much for your videos. I pretty much watched you every day. I even watched your same videos over and over again and I am learning so much. I wanted to ask you a question… How long does that usually take you to do these appointments. Sometimes it can take me up to five hours to do this kind of an appointment. Is that normal? I feel so bad that the client is sitting there for so long. Is it just me or do other stylist take this long as well? Thanks, Debbie 💜

This appointment would typically take 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours for me. Thanks so much for watching!

Hey Jamie I have a question! When you’re doing lowlights on a client who has level 9-10 hair and say they want lowlights of a level 6ish how do you do those lowlights without making the hair look muddy or turn green? Do you have to fill it first? And if so how would you do that?
@luiginabustillos27015 жыл бұрын
Sorry to answer instead. What i do if this is useful for you, is to put 7.4 with 5 vol for 15 min and then the desired color on top. It has worked for me.
@dsmith85704 жыл бұрын
You can also add your filler into the color and thats fine too. Works well when youre not doing an all over color.

Hi there do you not find that if you put the base on first and then you do the highlights for example say leave the highlights on for 50minutes do you not find the base is left on for too long and therefore can look a bit too dark I mean I think your overall look is amazing just a questions Love ❤️ all your videos xx 😘

Hi, i love your videos and im learning so much from you,thank you;-))))Could i ask how long it took you this technique from start to finish?hope you dont mind me asking, i just started a new job in a new salon, and most clients seem to be giving out about how long it takes a balayage, and other stylist are just rushing all the time, nearly doing half of the balayaging foils in order to be ''quick''! im a bit lost, im used to do a good job, but again that takes time, any advice would be much appreciate it, im looking forward to your new videos,thank you;-)))

I love your videos and always learn alot from them. I'm never very confident with toning. I'm never sure what strength of peroxide to use when adding ash to highlights and weather you just use a normal ash tint and use as a toner or a semi permanent tint. Would it be as low as 10% or a higher strength to lift out the yellow tones. Many thanks

I am doing something like this on a color correction client who currently has a middle part and early 2000s style chunky highlights. Unlike a normal balayage because she has harsh highlights I don't think I should work off her natural part. I thought maybe use this techinique in babylight sections. Thoughts?
