Just remembered that I encountered this situation exactly, the player runs vishgraz in the command zone (notably mediocre at best commander), what deck is actually trying to do is witherbloom/chain of smog, which the deck fetches directly into play on upkeep with defense of the heart backed up by grand abolisher

Those are the worst kind of games, especially when the player is actually a nice person and think he's just having fun with you all, but the rest of the table is actually just holding their groans at seeing what's basically a cEDH deck that just so happens to not have a cEDH commander.

I actually built something so creative that EDHrec literally doesn't have a section for it: Umori as companion for an all-enchantment deck. Naturally, my enchantment deck is Go-Shintai shrines and generic goodstuff, but still!

Edhrec is a tool that can help you find synergies in the 36,108 different magic cards that exist, not counting reprints. Back is alpha I could remember all the cards. Back in alpha there was 295 cards. Even then there are years I didnt play magic so i have holes in the knowledge on what exists and what is legal. Sites like EDHrec are useful then. I also can send the various new people that way to give them at least an idea on what they can put into their decks. Many have a precon or two and a smattering of boosters and have never heard of disciple of the vault, phyrexian altar, or Prossh.

Chasm Skulker doesn't draw you any cards. You can pay to level up Wizard Class whenever you have the mana; you don't need to spend 9 mana all at once.

Unfortunately for the first deck: Dealing 0 combat damage does not trigger combat damage abilities. It needs more ways to pump the thopters by at least 1 power

Vehicles are also tricky funny includes in the Leonardo deck. Slipping in a Reaver Titan is an Ornithopter that slaps everyone for 5 and ignores most single target removal spells as they are generally 3 mana and under. Skyship Sovereign bolts something every attack, too. Other artifacts of note I feel is anything that gets indestructible (Forge is a no duh) like Darksteel Citadel or Ingot. Portal to Phyrexia is just brutal on its own. Arcbound Crusher can interestingly get pretty big on its own if you are dealing with someone making a bunch of artifacts like food or treasure tokens. If you are trying to not be completely degenerate and sort of just kinda putter around for lower power games, Hangarback Walker can become an army in a can. I also think it's pretty cute to run Thopter Squadron as it can come in as a 3/5 that you can split into more thopters and not destroy itself. Blue also has some creatures (unfortunately not artifacts) that can tap to untap a permanent, so they are versatile in being sorta ramp, or you can just go again with Leo. Training Grounds and Heartstone should be an auto-include as well. Consider Karn, The Great Creator as basically the only way to save something you've exiled as well. I don't really like Sai or Efficient Construction as you are technically not really looking to cast artifact spells. You are more into playing a flash style of game where you lay down an artifact Ornithopter-copy on your opponent's turn while you hold up counters otherwise.

So my suggestions for these vids: - Consider adding a list to both the original decklist (maybe one hosted on your account or a special public account) as well as your suggested changes so we can see the cards and the full deck. Some of us may want to go playtest both the original and your "fixed" version so we can pretend we're sitting next to you, and be smug/enraged when we come up with a different take. - Show your deck evaluation diagram/roast with each deck! Its always hilarious, and I still haven't seen what each box means.

As someone whose favorite deck is an umbris deck, the umbris deck in the video is dog crap. It's like 3x the cost of mine but its going in all directions with barely any removal or all that much to stop that 30$ green stompy deck from just kicking you in the face. Also crypt and lotus being in there because banned but you can't hold that against them. Could've just not been updated for a bit or they're one of those babies who can't get over the bans. Mald is right on all counts here, it's just a mess of 2 card combos without much cohesion.

The thoracle person definitely doesn’t play cedh but they are trying to put cards from cedh into their casual deck and will end up having a bad time. People who play cedh don’t tend to put their efficient win cards in their casual decks cause that itch is already scratched from cedh

In all honesty, a self mill deck that wins with Thassa's Oracle would actually be pretty cool if you intentionally left out all the cards that instantly exile your whole library and instead just use ordinary mill cards like Glimpse the Unthinkable and Traumatize.

The DaVinci deck needs Library of Leng. But that might just be me liking Library too much. Edit: To better explain why, it would allow better reliability of fuel for Thopter copy fuel, makes any copied creature that would draw cards instantly put itself back into hand, and overall allows the commanders' "buff" ability to overload way beyond normal limits with minimal effort.
