there are wayyyy too many melodic metalcore songs being called "melodic hardcore" in this video. metalcore is not hardcore punk, its metal. as a matter of fact, there's but a single melodic hardcore song in the entire video lol

If only you knew that Metalcore is actually not full metal it was literally born from the 90s Hardcore punk scene Where do you think the core comes from? core is literally short for Hardcore Punk 🤣😂 Yes that's right Metalcore came from Punk first in fact the original name for Metalcore was originally called Metallic Hardcore Punk Breakdowns were also invented the punk scene too by the way not metal In the 80s thrash was highly influenced by Hardcore so in the 90s Hardcore kinda returned the favor so Metalcore is half Punk half Metal

Counterparts are literally a melodic hardcore band who are part of that 90s metalcore revival sound (think Knocked Loose, Code Orange, Kublai Khan TX and Varials etc), they call themselves metalcore but are also melodic hardcore. The things is genres blur. Rise Against and Comeback kid are Melodic Hardcore and lean more on the punk side.
