@Rick Pospisil They were kids of love! Not a planned litter. We got the Bernese from a rescue. We had no clue that she was carrying 11 pups in her belly. DNA test prooved that father was a Great Poodle. We kept #10. He is the most wonderful dog in the world. Very balanced, clever, sensitive. The other 9 (#11 was born dead) all found great families with kids, garden etc. It was a wonderul experience nothing was awful!!!

@Rick Pospisil. You said "how aweful, why ruin a wonderful dog by mixing it up"....there are several things wrong with that statement you made. 1) How is the fact that the mother gave birth to Mixed breed dogs ruining the dog?...2) These puppies will have less health problems than the mother and most likely will have a longer lifespan than their mother too (since bernese live to an average 7-8 years). I love bernese mountain dogs myself and have a wonderful one myself, but to say these puppies have ruined anything is beyond retarded considering that if anything they are genetically superior to their mother

UM SO SORRY TO HAVE TO TELL YOU BUT, YOU ARE MISTAKEN ABOUT THE PUPS BEING "GENETICALLY SUPERIOR TO THEIR MOTHER" OR ANY BERNER FOR THAT MATTER. THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY SCIENTIFIC STUDIES NOR PROOF TO INDICATE SUCH FINDINGS! AS A MATTER OF FACT THE OPPOSITE HAS BEEN SHOWN TO BE TRUE. IN A STUDY DONE BY UCDAVIS THE INHERITED HEALTH DISEASES WERE PREVALENT IN BOTH THE PEDIGREE AND THE MIX BREED DOGS ABOUT THE SAME; According to the study, which was published in the June 1, 2013 edition of the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association1, the prevalence of 13 of the 24 genetic disorders was about the same for purebreds as mixed breeds. Some of those disorders were hip dysplasia, hyper- and hypoadrenocorticism, cancers, lens luxation and patellar luxation. Ten conditions were found more frequently among purebred dogs, including dilated cardiomyopathy, elbow dysplasia, cataracts, and hypothyroidism. One disorder was actually more common in mixed-breeds - cranial cruciate ligament ruptures. healthypets.mercola.com/sites/healthypets/archive/2013/07/05/pet-genetic-disorders.aspx I UNDERSTAND THAT THE NICE PERSON FILMING THIS, DANIELA, WAS NOT THE BREEDER OF THESE PUPS AND WAS A WONDERFUL PART OF THIS PREGNANT BERNER GIRLS RESCUE. SO, IT'S NOT HER FAULT THIS PRECIOUS GIRL WAS BRED OUT OF HER PEDIGREE AND PRODUCED MUTTS! BUT IT IS A DOWN RIGHT CRIME THE WAY THESE PUPPY MILLERS AND BACKYARD, HOBBY BREEDERS ARE BREEDING THESE "DESIGNER PUPS" AND CHARGING ALMOST TWICE AS MUCH AS A LITTER FROM A PURE BRED, PEDIGREED, HEALTH TESTED AND CLEARED PAIR OF FINE DOGS LIKE I BREED! MIXED BRED DOGS ARE MUTTS AND THAT IS ALL THERE IS TO THAT!! IF BREEDERS WERE RESPONSIBLE AND REPUTABLE, DOING THE HEALTH SCREENIINGS THAT THEIR CHOSEN BREED SEEMS TO HAVE A HISTORY OF INHERITING AND ONLY BREEDING HEALTHY STOCK THAT PASSED THESE HEALTH SCREENINGS AND ARE CERTIFIED, LIKE I DO, THEN THE HEALTH AND LIFESPAN WOULD GREATLY IMPROVE IN THE BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOGS AND MAYBE THE DEMAND FOR THESE MUTTS WOULD GO AWAY!! OK STEPPING OFF OF MY SOAPBOX NOW.
