so why until now there's few tourists going to dinagyang compared to sinulog and why sinulog is more tourist going there? I'm so curious by the way. It is known for the best festival in aliwan and also sinulog I think they won grandslam just like dinagyang , but in terms of being known as the best of the best of festival in the country , but sinulog has the massive contingent joining their festival( some are out of town from mindanao and even masbate and from leyte and negros) , then why dinagyang if it was known as best tourism and why dinagyang cannot do the same what sinulog can do? In terms of festival , why sinulog emmited by other provinces and even other municipality and even celebrated by the other countries like canada , usa, australia and some parts of europe? The beats alone, Dinagyang it is! But we should look at every aspect on what makes them the best Festivals, which, Dinagyang parin ang nauuna. Performance-wise, the best in the country. The best Choreography, costumes, concepts, production design, headdresses, music, and story are all in Dinagyang performances. Aside from these, what made Dinagyang an award-winning tourism event is on how the organizers and the local government organize this whole 9-day festival. From a variety of side events to gigantic food fests around the city, they're unexpectedly well-executed. Sadly, there are now lowkey copycats of this festival throughout the Philippines, but the thing with Dinagyang is, you could distiguish it from other similar festivals because of how authentic, original and unique it is.

Even their both use ati, but the costume, the headdress, the colors are different. Another fact is that, making dinagyang costumes is harder than you think it is because it requires to be stronger and not easy to break because they are used for hardcore dancing and will be used 4 different times in a day. That's top-tier craftmanship right there!

Dinagyang.Ang Sinulog kamukha ng mga merrrymaking at street dancing ng mga barangays at town fiestas lang sa Iloilo.Watch Kasadyahan a day before Dinagyang highlight mejo close sya but not quite.Ati-Atihan naman magaganda lang ang costumes.Pero kung gusto mo talaga malaman bakit puntahan mo sa 3rd Weekend every January sa Iloilo.3 stages of amazement: 1. For me I think these two festivals are unique sa kanikanilang aspeto. Yung isang group ng Sinulog na nag guest years ago sa Dinagyang, portrayed the fluidity and finesse of the dancers. Parang nanunuod lang ako ng sayaw ng mga Kastilang ninuno natin. Very graceful and enchanting with majestic costumes and background trumpets to boot. Meanwhile, Dinagyang is a tribal dance that portrays the Aetas of Panay and Negros islands. Kelangan maliksi at mabilis and drums would often associate warriors doing their ritual dance. Both is beautiful in their own right. Would love to experience Cebu during their Sinulog, in the near future.🙂

Kaya no wonder why yung Dinagyang nila nilalangaw ng mga competitors kahit mga kalapit island and provinces walang pupunta to celebrate with them kasi nga ang cheap ng festival nila and the same celebration can also be found also in Sinulog and Ati Atihan.. By the way they even want to discredit Sinulog which is just festival where in fact even before it was popularized as term for festival, the Sinulog word was a term for ritual dance the original dance worship for the original Sto Nino (which in Cebu) way back during Spanish era. Tapos yung mga copy cat festival pa yung queen festival eh wala ngang ka class yang festival nila... Walang originality at ang cheap ng taste......

Lamang lang talaga ang cebu sa historical setting sa festival at Halos buong january ang fiesta sa cebu dahil sa daming sto. Niño ang patron sa mga chapel

Taga Laguna ako...na experience ko yong sinulog last year ok naman sya, yong maskara na experience ko noong 2020 October or November ata yon ang golo ng daan at hnde ko feel yong sigla maliban lang doon sa malaking lagon ok nman pero ang gulo prang hnde organized anh event...sa Dinagyan noong 2022 don ang sigla malawak ang daan tapos pag dumaan yong taxi na sinasakyan namin sa flyover makikita mo yong buong city lalo na yong mandulyaw na may malaking mall,Festive walk , esplanade at relaxing yong daan papuntang airport makaganda talaga magastos pero sulit at sa down town nila malapit sa Robinson party party talaga kaliwat kanang banda at malaking sounds food court hnde ka talaga ma bobor..

Sa mga vloggers na nagpopost ng mga videos at nanuod ng dinagyang at sinulog, yung mga comments nila na yung yung difference sa performance yung sinulog daw ay parang sayaw lang sila, syempre plus the costumes, while the dinagyang also have the costumes, the props, etc, the difference sabi nila yung dinagyang di lang sila sumasayaw sa whole performance nila kundi may istorya, may kwento yung kanilang, yung parang daw yung kanilang performance ay isang kwento about the life of our ninuno and amcestirs nuon, thier way of living,vhow they live, how they survive nuong mga unang panahon. Kung anu nuon ng wala pa o di pa dumating yung mga spanish dito sa pinas kung anu pamumuhay ng mga ninuno natin, yung hanggang sa dumating spanish and how they change, etc.... 😁😁😁😅😅😅

Aliwan 2006-2007-2008: 1st Place: Sinulog 2nd: Dinagyang The only festival that beat Sinulog in Aliwan was Samar which also performed in Sinulog. Hindi po umiiyak ang fans ng Sinulog dahil 3 yrs sunod sunod nilampaso ng Sinulog ang Dinagyang 🤣
