It hurts me that I knew about their mistreatment but we never really got to do anything because the label was in high power. Which was frustrating. They were never given creative control until Camila left cause Epic just wanted the girls to do anything guaranteed they'd flop and they'd get dropped 😔.Epic Records is literally hell, Look at Madison Beers career. Her first album took a WHILE to release despite having 3 singles. As well as Zara Larsson, she had 5 singles before her debut. Epic Records is basically a really greedy company.

This applies to “royalty artists” as well as session vocalists, and the plan also covers families, not just individuals. Artists who join unions can obtain benefits through their union, for instance SAG/AFTRA, the Screen Actors Guild/American Federation of Television and Radio Artists has a pension and health plan. They tried to do the same with Little Mix in regards to having Perrie as the "lead" but Little Mix fought their management for their entire career to make sure they all had equal say, the concept of equality was something that was integral to the group and the reason why they lasted so long Vs Fifth Harmony who imploded in a number of years, largely due to that inequality between members. The whole thing of having 1 lead singer is usually seen in US girl groups too (although it is a sexist and ridiculous industry standard that has been consistently disproven).

I think you're both wrong, Dinah was always out of breath, true, but Normani had some of the best vocals, she had the whistle notes and generally she could pull off a hour and a half show very easily. Ally was and still is the best vocally, she can belt notes and is very, very precise. She also has a great extension, can't say she is the most recognizable but If we're talking about singing.. she's is definitely the best. Dinah's voice is made for another kind of music, not the one she was making while on the group.

Normani and Camila were the best live performers (hard to admit that for Camila tho it’s true). I loved this group so much, and saw them in concert sooo many times! What Dinah said about only showing pieces of her, felt very true at the time. I always wondered why she, as one of the strongest vocalists of the group, never had any kind of high notes or vocal runs in their early music. I love seeing these women as individual artists now because we are discovering new sides of them. All this being said, Dinah’s audition for xfactor still gives me chills to this day. Love seeing her today ❤

yo full disclosure, at the time, i really thought, to be quite honest, i still to this day think it's actually Dinah's voice & management somehow made them do some kind of switch during live performances with Dinah & Camila, i really honestly thought Dinah was on the "ooh whoa baby" adlibs after the hook verse😂😂😂😂sorta like how they pulled a Miss Movin On switch where Lauren sang the verse "I broke the glass that surrounded me, i ain't the way you remember me, i was such a good girl so fragile, but no more" on the official released version but Ally does the verse during live performances...

Honestly, how these girls were treated was just foolish. They are so versatile and they should have played into that. For example, when you look at K-pop groups like Twice and BTS, they have 7 or 9 members, everybody gets a part. BTS even has solo numbers within their albums. The people who managed them were just very limited in vision and I think these girls might have stuck together if they just had more creative freedom and a place to showcase their talent.

As much as it sucks, I don’t see any of their solo careers happening. They peaked as a group a few years ago, it was fun, good times. 😊…well, on the surface it was good times… then Normani gave us some nice videos, visuals, some awesome choreography & performances... and its like, even with her performing at events had drama-her VMA performance w Teyana Taylor was shrouded in issues, like…she was a shoe-in at the last minute? Idk, whatever happened. She had to raise her hand, so to speak, to even be ABLE to perform.. She’s been endlessly professionally shaded, by the industry, by the fandom, and some of the “less intelligent” or less “woke” followers of Fifth Harmony… and it’s complete BS, it’s ridiculous. Sadly, that very fan- & industry-fueled BS-that Normani does not deserve nor has she ever asked for-has somewhat gotten in the way of her rise to stardom. Now all ppl think about is that, rather than her art, and that’s truly sad that some dumbasses allowed that, intentionally or inadvertently. I’m not a fan of Camilla, like at all, but yes.. she too had a “moment” in time, some success, but that time has come and gone, sorry to say. Sadly, for Normani, as much as we love her, this industry is just f*cked for some reason. And Camilla, well, ppl are just into other music now. Not to mention after her little incident with the high school “posts” and “joking” racial comments scandal…and not standing up for Normani in the SLIGHTEST.. don’t act brand new. Plus I think ppl got sick of seeing her & Sean’s constant relationship updates on social media and in the _actual_ media…lol so we lowkey checked out. 🤮
