She always looked youthful. I had college friend in the 70s refuse to believe she was in her 50s during that time. They thought she was 10 years younger. She looked more beautiful in the 1970s than the 1950s.

I was thinking the same thing when I watched this. She does look younger during the ‘70’s than in the 50’s. Wish I could do that.

So glad this popped up on KZbin for me. I grew up with Dinah on TV as did tens of millions of Baby Boomers. The piece didn't mention her longtime support of women's golf and her popular LPGA golf tournament or her very public relationship with a 20 years younger Burt Reynolds. Dinah Shore was married to actor George Montgomery from 1943 to 1962. She died of complications from ovarian cancer.

As a teenager I would sit in the audience with my mother watching and listening to Dinah Shore. This was the time she was friends with Burt Reynolds. Another one of her shows she had Vivian Vance and Lucille Ball as her guest. In two different occasions I got Dinah's autograph. Second time around she recognized me saying, You again! 😊 Mother told her I was star crazy. She gave me a kiss. Thank you Ms. Dinah Shore. Now I blow you a 😘 kiss. (And yes, I'm sort of crying).

Those who grew up in the 70s will remember Dinah Shore on her daytime variety show on NBC from 1970-74 and then her daily talk show which ran from 1974-80. That's where her boyfriend Burt Reynolds was a frequent guest on the show. Although they were no longer a couple afterwards, they always had a close bond until she died. Burt always considered Dinah the love of his life.
