I pivoted from Etsy even after making nearly 3,000 template sales because I felt so disconnected from it, and it felt exactly like you said, I wasn't working for myself; I was working for Etsy, adding tons of listings and just getting a few sales. Beautiful, this is a difficult process because we tend to identify with our business/career and shifting when you have grown can be emotional. During the shift sometimes you feel like it was the wrong choice then fear overcomes you. For anyone watching this especially if you are a content creator, allow yourself to live and grow. Dina!! This is so divinely timed. I watched a couple of your videos over the last couple of days so that I can start my own etsy shop, and I was trying to figure out exactly what to do. Something didn't feel right to me..didn't feel aligned. Earlier today, I spent intentional time with myself, and as I looked within, I was able to think about my mission statement for my soul. Through that, an idea for my business produced that aligns with me and what I value. As soon as I got home, I opened KZbin and this video was the first one on my feed. I am originally a painter but have been running an Etsy shop for the past three years to make a living. However, I no longer find joy in this work. Despite my efforts and frequent listings, my sales have declined sharply since last year. I've decided to step away from this and return to my true path as an artist. Although this decision may bring financial challenges, I can no longer rely on the instability of Etsy. Your video has been a tremendous source of encouragement and motivation for me. AI is not killing off creativity. AI is an amazing tool that can actually boost creativity. And like with any other tool, it's about how you choose use it. It's the people with zero skills and talent who think they can swoop in and make a buck that ruin it for everyone else. They're incredibly selfish and make the game of life suck for everyone else.

You are young and you are still exploring those things you love. Finding out what we don't want is just as important to guide us to what we do want. You will evolve over and over again. It's called growth. We aren't the same person we were 10 years ago, one year ago, heck one month ago. I read once that we (especially women) evolve every 7-10 years. I'm old enough to be your grandmother and I can honestly say this happened to me every few years. Life events will change you, your goals will change, your dreams will change. It's not a bad thing, it's growth. The past six years alone I have lived in three different countris and I'm preparing for my fourth country this year. I don't want to be on my death bed thinking, I shoulda, coulda, woulda but I let fear take over. It doesn't matter if you are single, married, raising children or caring for parents. Our dreams belong to us alone. As long as we still draw breath our dreams are obtainable. Listen to your heart, feel your intuition and let them guide you. You've got this and it shows. ❤👏🏼

I'm in this life of pivoting what i want to do and truthfully it feels so hard because you think of it as a waste, wasted time or wasted effort. I'm on the same boat. I'm dissolving my marketing agency and it's hard when you're ambitious feeling you have to start from scratch again when you were already a little bit closer to the goal.

I think it's hard to figure out how to do well on Etsy. You have to go through it to get there and I think because your You Tube grew before you got there, you didn't feel that drive to get there. I also think complex digital items are hard to sell on Etsy because Etsy wants you to list so much to stay relevant in the algorithm. Best of luck in your new ventures. :)

Dina, your Etsy shop was an intermediate step to your success. Its main purpose was to boost your KZbin audience. Now need to move forward. Keep going and good luck! P.S. Also one idea for you. You could do a live streams let's say ones per month and share some thoughts, ideas, business tips with your audience. At the same time you can use some 3-rd party service to accept donations during this stream (investigate how other youtubers do it). Some additional income, connection with subs and +1 for KZbin algorithm.

Yes I have done a little bit of UGC. I think it's a good side hustle if you're willing to reach out to brands and be creative with making videos. I actually made a UGC guide so if you search "Dina Lu UGC" on KZbin you should find it. It's a 30 minute video I think
