I have done one lesson of calligraphy and loved it so much! But being left handed over-writer, it was extremely frustrating, making a mess with all the ink and bending the nib when trying to go "upward". The teacher was not so helpful and didn't give me any advice except "mirror the person in front of you" and telling me I was holding the pen wrong. At the end I stopped listening and did a pretty good job finding solutions on my own. As I used to be ambidextrous, (but it is more than 10 years I'm not really writing much anymore), I tried with the right hand and loved it even more as I didn't have to fight against the pen nor the ink and could just enjoy the writing. Now I am looking for some beginners tools to start something at home. Thanks for your video, these tips sounds way more sensible than those I got the other day!!

Oh no, sorry to hear about your experience. But yeah, for left-handed people learning pointed pen calligraphy, it's a bit harder just because there are less resources. Super cool that you are ambidextrous though. Did you figure out your left hand? Does it feel smooth when you write with your pointed pen? There shouldn't be a difference between left-handed and right-handed people feeling smoothness, it's just harder to find the right angles with left hand!
