What did you think of today's incredible game between Ding and Gukesh? I thought it started out a little slow, but the game got heated after Ding was sort of forced to castle long!

Your commentary is worthy of a top European Football commentator. You both take an incredibly dull game, on the surface, and reveal the complex nuance of the respective competitor positions. Nice job with the commentary. It really teachers me how to look at the whole board.

Black King walks through to f4/f3, and then it's hard to defend against promoting on e1 (and h1) and push the Queen side pawns the same time ...

I missed the deadly part. The excitement was supposed to come from the Q-side pawn majority, but it turns out those pawns never moved an inch. And the eval never got close to +1, either. Towards the end Ding was relieved to be nearly able force a 3-fold. Meanwhile Gukesh was in such a total panic that he declined the draw, playing on in the hope that Ding would screw it up.

Ding still seems inhibited in his playing; but it's a good sign that he's been able to resist the pressure until now. Maybe he can relax and unfold his full potential. Thank you for commenting the championship match, greetings from Austria!
