Nice clip, everything looks beautiful, the landscape, the homes, the ports the sea and most importantly for me the boat. I sold my trailer sailer and want to build another small sail boat and I've been looking at all the designs out there and narrowed iy down to a few. Seeing many Goat Island skiffs and finally this one of yours, this clip has made my mind up and my next build will be Goat. Thank you for the upload and finally making my decision easy. Cheers Al, South Australia

wow, thanks for this comment. I'm glad to inspire someone as I was inspired by other people when I decided to build my Mira. The Goat is in fact a Australian design. Beautiful and capable little boat! ..and easy to build!

So enjoying your travels in ‘Mira’ Enrico, and what a beautiful coastline you have with so much history. I am full with admiration from Otaki, NZ.

Hi John, thanks for your nice words. Actually I've been very inspired by dinghy travels done by very nice people and fine boats in New Zeland!

Hello and thank you. At this time I am a little way into learning Italian and in the beginning of my second year of dinghy sailing. So bravo for the subtitles and grazie for the beautiful filming. Best regards.

Thanks Mark! I appreciate you comment. And you keep my motivation high in film editing (it's so boring sometimes). I put subtitles as most of my public is from English countries (dinghy cruising is not so popular here in Italy). But I'm very happy it also works for your italian learnng!! Thanks for watching.

Your cruising episodes would make for an interesting TV travel series. Maybe include some local history and interviews.

another stunning, well crafted video. Enrico, you are a master videographer and story teller. Your drone aerial footage is exquisite and Mira is a lovely boat. Well done my friend, a wonderful start to my day as I sit here at home watching the blizzards outside. Thank you :)

Thanks Steve, your words are too kind! In reality, the more I focus on quality, the more I see gaps and inpefections.. But it's ok. The drone: I don't have it, I just borrowed (!) some footages from other people nice videos (the links are in the video description)! (OK, this is a topic for a discussion about youtube ethic..:-)

Stunning footage and interesting narration - I don’t think you need so much music though: natural sounds are often the most beautiful. I will watch all your films - thank you for making these :-)
@EnricoFranconiPolisportiva3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Gwac Jules! Well noted. I don't like this kind of music available for video, but my main camera (GoPro) is muted as I need to shelter it for water-protection.. So basically no sound is recorded. But now another camera goes with a mic, so I start to take some sound. Also I am now using some music (guitar) I play and record. So, lower quality but more genuine.. You can take a look at this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3vdoIVsrJ52i9k. Thanks!

Thanks for the great video. Have you been happy with your GIS and is it easy to row? Is there anything you don't like about the boat?
@EnricoFranconiPolisportiva6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ben, the GIS is easy to row, yes. Althought if you are looking for a pure rowing boat there are much better concepts. I would say the GIS is a very very good compromise when youplan to sail 70-80% and row fot 30-20% of the time. The boat is simply great because it's really different concept from similar size dinghies. In few words, it's a sport-boat (so it requires a sport attitude), but at the same time she can carry a lot of weight, so it ends to having friends on board (max 4), or taking a lot of gear for camping, fishing, diving, etc.. Limits are mainly limited stability (i think it's similar to a Laser) and the flat bottom is not the best if you plan to sail in waves/open sea. In the video description I have put the link to GIS website by Michael Storer. Lots of info there.

I sail in the San Francisco area. I have a boat called a SCAMP which is a Welsford design. It's very stable but not the fastest by oar. It's been a great boat to camp on, though. Keep the videos coming. They are great!
@EnricoFranconiPolisportiva6 жыл бұрын
I love the SCAMP! It's another unique concept. And all the other models from Welsford are great. Have you a great time in San Francisco bay!
@robertsmith18603 жыл бұрын
@@benthrelkeld4929 I live in Vallejo, and planing for a small sail/row boat for my retirement years. Did you purchase your Scamp from Gig Harbor near Seattle, or elsewhere? Scamp looks perfect to me...but Gig Harbor recently designed the Salish Voyager, which also appeals to me.

Grandissimo... posso chiederti che software hai usato per la traccia gps ? Complimenti ancora!!!
@EnricoFranconiPolisportiva6 жыл бұрын
Ciao Dani, grazie, troppo buono!
