In my opinion, and this is just my taste, I think your dining room chairs do not match style wise with your table, I love your table, but you need to get chairs that are the wood and style as your table, the ones you have are stark and don’t look honey!

The trim looks great Hollie. There’s always that one room in a new build that is a struggle. For me it was going from a separated living room to a great room, open to the kitchen. The living room furniture has been a struggle but eventually you get it to where you like it. 😊 I personally loved the bar cart on that wall by the brick but it’s your space, you’ll get it to where you like it eventually.

Love the trim. Since the plates are so small they might look good on each side of the window. I still think a nice big round or oval wood table with 6-8 chairs is what will fill out this room best. Then you’ll have more space to move the credenza back on the wall and out from blocking the window.

I can't wait for the final reveal! You have such a beautiful gift of style Hollie. My home's not large enough to move furniture around so I mainly use neutrals (taupe, ivory, brown) and then seasonally change it up by switching florals, pillows, candles and some decor. It's just enough to keep me from being bored. I added touches of black decor last year to ground things, but kept everything else still neutral. What a cutie Casen is and perfectly on cue for his sweet lil close-up!

Beautiful space. maybe consider: put sconces on each side of window , eliminate buffet since you already have black cabinet, since you already have small mirror no need for another one on bigger wall. Maybe try bar cart between windows and change out black dining chairs to something else. I'm sure whatever you decide will be beautiful. It is your space so enjoy having fun with it:)

I had some of the same issues as you have with some of your pieces. Maybe try angling the table to see if it works for you. Absolutely, love the new change. Absolutely love the trim work. The rug is beautiful but, seems too casual for your formal dining space. I would use it in another room/ patio. I would get a more formal looking rug. I think the hutch is too modern looking for your look now with the formal trim. I would choose a more chunky vintage hutch with traditional southern style. Just not sure 3 colors black, wood, & light wash table ( since you mentioned wood tone)of furniture & 2 styles of chairs ( your rattan chairs don’t say formal to me. They say Boho ) in same room is cohesive, to me anyway. But remember, this is your home. Do what you love. You have great style & class on decor. Just giving my two cents worth. I still love watching your channel. Casen is adorable & has a cute personality.

I love that rug. The chair rail and picture molding is very pretty also. I change my things a lot too , I enjoy decorating! The china cabinet you showed in the first picture was gorgeous and would be beautiful with your table, it had the last guy colored wood. It’s a drastic change already, very pretty❤

Hi Holly love the trim it is beautiful. Whatever you decide is going to be beautiful. Just a suggestion........since hubby is electrician consider installing electric sconces on each side of the window. Your dining room is large and can handle the larger electric sconces and it will be fun for you to look in antique stores for something that will complement your chandelier. Oh Hollie, I love the trim and you are right it looks like the room is bigger. The rug is a great addition, I don’t know if that is a jute rug or not but we had one and every time we vacuumed it the vacuum was full of fibers. You may already know this but I finally found out we weren’t supposed to use the beater bar on the vacuum. 🤦‍♀ Anyway, I can’t wait to see the room fully finished. 😊❤😊🫕🥘🍲🧋

🥗🍴 maybe a bigger mirror on the main wall and moving the small mirror somewhere else since there’s two mirrors on the same side of the room could put your sconces on the 2 small walls that would be a nice glow (ex: wall above the cart)
