Just love that table! Have you thought of putting the Windsor chairs on either side and then getting different chairs for either end, like upholstered or cane back/seats? We got a near identical table almost a month ago! I saw the legs and top and thought it was the same table , legs are a tad different though. Your new table looks so nice in your dining area. Love it. We replaced a 1989 oak table that my parents had in their summer home. When they sold it several years ago I brought it to my house. Like you said, very sentimental about all the family meals and games played at the table. I put off getting a new one thinking I’d refinish it. My husband now has it in his workshop to use for projects. Love your kitchen and dining room. It’s just beautiful.

So, so happy you kept that gorgeous old table. The new table is really nice. I actually like the bench in the white and wood. It flows with the kitchen and blends the two spaces. I feel painted black it would put all the visual weight on one end of your kitchen and seem out of balance. Always love how simply you decorate.
