I once had someone ask me why I had an SJ when they saw me drive it into an LS Customs. I told them "It's a part of my totally-not-a-honda-civic collection." They were genuinely confused, so I invited them over to show them my collection of Blistas. Apparently even 11 years later people still don't know that collecting cars is a thing in GTA.

Just so y'all know, it was reported that a few weeks back, Tony McTony himself had a modified Kanjo SJ stolen from his private submarine. Whether or not you believe it actually happened is up to you, but it undoubtedly gave more unnecessary fuel to the Dinka fanbois who already wouldn't shut up about asking "if the Futo was so great why did they stop making it???"

yo i heard about that. latest rumors are it was spotted driving out of some scrap yard and ended up at the LS Port so who knows where it is at this point? i almost couldn't believe the footage of a submarine pulled onto the beach in Paleto Bay surrounded by a bunch of police. just as crazy as the time the military got involved in some bank robbery up there 10 years ago.

I actually had the luck of owning a 1996 Kanjo SJ in that insanely rare teal colour they did, with a sunroof! It was obviously too tempting to keep it stock, but except for some lowering springs, a set of wheels and some colour coded parts it largely stayed stock. I think that was the appeal of that car - I've never been a fan of the Kanjo hatch styling, but as a coupe it worked wonderfully. Sold it because rust became an issue and because a great deal came up on a '97 Previon with the 6 cyl so it had to go. Learned recently that the Previon's engine is shared with the Dinka Jester: isn't it crazy Karin had to borrow a Dinka engine for their flagship coupe?

The blista and the sugoi has been my dream car for quite awhile now. Some people might find that lame since most people want a sultan or a jester but I just love these little cars. I've seen so many posts of people on Life Invader about them and how they're so slow but fun to drive. Can't wait to get one some day!

I always loved the Blista, and Kanjo, the Kanjo SJ more so, I got one in a nice deep blue with all of the OEM goodies, factory fog lights, optional spoiler, sunroof, polished alloy rims and body colored trim (based on the EM1 Si) unfortunately the sunroof shade gets stuck shut, and the 3rd brake light in the spoiler has a loose connector so both don't really work right now.. other than that, it's a great car. (For real though, who decided it was a good idea to have a permanently closed sunroof shade on the SJ?.. and the 3rd brake light in the spoiler is missing an inside texture so you can see straight through it and the spoiler, those issues bug me way more than they probably should.) Plus it would've been nice if the spoiler that's close to the Si spoiler had a 3rd brake light too, like the real one.

I was super disappointed when I found out they went the length of adding third brake lights to the SJ spoilers but didn't bother making them work (missing textures and not adding them to OEM looking spoilers sucks too). However, the extra antenna and grill options (to somewhat change the year) were great options.

That's a fair point. My understanding was that the naming conventions would also make more sense if the SJ was a spinoff of the Blista K, though the opposite could be argued as well.

Ah yeah, my brother owns an SJ, sweet little car. sat parked outside facing the same direction so long the clear coat failed only on the one side. Sunroof still works but as another owner mentioned, the sunroof shade gets stuck a lot. But the aircon works, the stereo was swapped for an aftermarket unit. a Kakagawa I think? and a big subwoofer was added. It's just a great little runabout with good mileage. Definitely quite the departure from my Rebel. Comparable to our dad's Sultan though. (In universe jokes aside, my brother really does own a 2003 honda civic coupe. And our dad owns an 04' Impreza and I've got an 82' Hilux. A very strange collection of cars. I do find it pretty funny that they've all got GTA counterparts though.)
