It says RakuRaku DinoKun up top. But on the screens where I can easily see in your clean up/bathtub area and the petting hand it replaces them with a fat little bird. I am guessing maybe just maybe it is the same ones on the penguin version? I do not have the penguin version of dinkie but that is all I can guess. I will snap a photo of it and link it. I just found it odd when I was playing with it today after seeing your video to compare. But everything functions the same as yours does.

I have a question for you by watching this video it made me wonder. I got a dinkie dino, looks just like yours but in red. Mine says it in Japanese up on the top but when I go look at the icons it shows up as a fat bird instead of the typical dino you see when you want to praise it or wash it. Would that mean I have a knock off version or ?

@yorkshirerepresenter Very often this is not a hard problem to fix. If you want to brave it out I suggest opening up the toy and pulling out the control buttons. More often than not, the motherboard just needs to be cleaned. You do this by using q-tip swabs. You dip them in rubbing alcohol and then rub the contacts on the motherboard. Also, you can use the swabs to clean off the black contacts underneath the buttons. I BET you that it will be good as new once you put it back together! =)

I had this since I was still in my teens, and it was my first attempt at a pet simulator game. The object is where you can feed food, play rock paper scissors, and that was it. It starts with a baby on its first week, and then when it grew larger, it became a dragon for about a week, and leaving my pet toy at home while I was in school, and when I came home, it died and it’s game over, but you can see a pet lying down with a cross on the top left side which means the game is over, and there is no way to continue. What a boring game. This is why I don’t recommend this one.

I just started up my childhood Dinkie Dino (the white one, just like yours). If I look at the screen from directly head on the pixels appear very faint. However, if I view it at a slight angle (from the bottom, looking up) it looks just as dark as yours. Is this normal?

The game is actually easy to win if you observe what he picks. It seems like they were lazy when programming the game and there are only a few sets of hands built in. He picks rock the most. Picks scissors the 2nd most and rarely picks paper. Just always pick Scissors and you will let him win nearly every time.

You forgot to mention the code that let's you make him Level 99. You can hold 2 buttons down (I forget which ones) on the clock screen to change the date and make him evolve

It's not a Tamagotchi. Tamagotci is a brand of digital pet. Not all digital pets are Tamagotchis but all Tamagotchis are digital pets :)
