@@martindaredare As my 2 sons aren't following me into farming I've just started renting some land out to a neighbour and I also help him on his farm . I still grow some vegetable crops myself, Dwarf French Beans, Sugar Snap Peas, and Savoy Cabbages. My neighbour friend who I rent land out to, and help him out on his farm, grows Potatoes, Wheat, Barley, and also grows grass for making Haylage for his herd of Beef Cattle so we keep busy. Hello Martin really enjoy these unboxing the van is a Morris J van I have restored the Royal Mail one I have got the capstan one to do got the paint and transfer s. Was hoping some one would restore one on line. The dark blue is going to be a -problem I think I shall have to paint the dark blue by hand the only difference between the two is the base is different the capstan one does not have Royale Mail on the base . Cheers for that Glyn, you can get special masking tape that is designed to go round curves ,from a car parts place or tamyia do different sizes in white . I do fancy that one myself. All the best martin

Hi Martin! So many great finds, but you got me immediately with the very first one. The Capri was my first car and I learned how to wrench on that one. That 1/24 scale has such great detail. Good start! The Maisto Jag is a fine addition to your collection too. I like the Silver Cloud. I could go on and on... I'll be tuned in for all of these upcoming restorations. Great haul this month Martin. Was looking at the Bedford OB tipper & thinking where am I gonna put it. Loved your finished Dodge Kew (Helldrivers) got the DVD. Puts mine to shame. Quite a haul there, though I think you have a few up your sleeve yet! The TR2 should be nice - maybe a Code3 with the windscreen slot filled and an aeroscreen? Bumpers ground off? I used to have a dog that could not decide whether he wanted in or out - I ended up making a dog flap from that aircurtain stuff you get in coldstores! Just whilst you've a bit of spare time...

A little tip Martin for the ice cream truck I’ve just finished restoring one of those and it’s a swine to put back together it has two lugs on the back which have to locate into the back of the cab I had a few attempts before I’d painted it at doing it it can be done but it’s risky once you’ve got your paint on I cut the lugs off and glued it I didn’t want to risk chipping up the paintwork it still looks fine and makes a nice restoration regards jay

Some absolute classics in that haul Martin. The big Leyland should look fantastic and the tanker is quite an unusual one. Highlight for me though is the Hindle-Smart electric truck. You should get everything you need for it from a decent model shop: paint, transfers etc. Really looking forward to seeing that one restored - an unusual vehicle indeed.👍👌😁 The Capri is a bit special too - some clever shopping this month.😁

Thanks very much, I do try and get a good variation when I can ,the hindle is a very nice model simple but nice I was surprised thay didn't paint it two tone with the cream roof .nevertheless a great work hoarse for BR .dinky do an older one of similar type of thing but that goes for big money All the best martin

@@martindaredare Remember, it's 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 wagon Martin. Paint it any way you like. I'm sure a few purists will moan but you do so many straight restorations, you're allowed a wee custom now and then. There are a few companies who make excellent loads for these, parcels, crates etc - that could look pretty good too. Or go the whole nine yards and fit an led headlight.😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.

Hi bob I had a job to get my viva most are missing boot or bonnet. The hindle is an electric truck like a milk float BR used them a lot on the bigger stations and local parcel deliveries.

Hi Martin you had me drooling with that XK8 I would love one of those Ford errr Jags in my stable. Every now and then I get really tempted to swap the MGA to something the Mrs would like to be driven around in and I saw one of these with my dark blue paint and cream interior fetish that I have going on at the moment lol. It was in Victoria right in the middle of Melbourne's out of control covid outbreak so the state was all locked down and I couldn't go and have a look. Just as well I suppose they are very slow at coming up in value here but I think they will one day be a up and coming classic. It's funny what triggers off memory's for me, when you held up that Minnie and door fell off I went strait back to my House cleaning days when the wife and I went into business together around 2000. We bought a little Ford Escort panel van and I decked it all out with my cleaning gear and chemicals. The next day we had to go and give a quote for someone's house and I was looking forward to taking the new-old company van. I thought I'd given the car a really good lookover before I bought it. My wife went to open the passenger side door and it nearly fell off the top hinge had rusted so badly it came away. I think it was parked under an open carport for a long time the drivers side was pristine but the passenger side I think was exposed to the weather and was a bit of a job to get it up to scratch. Another great bunch of upcoming projects to look forward to mate keep em coming I just cant get enough.👍

🤣🤣🤣 that van sounds like my old herald I had ,cut a long story short pulled over to the of a duel carriage way because of a lot of strange noises coming from the front ,lifted the bonnet section and the bloody thing fell off the hinge points had roted through, lucky back in the day we always carried a tool kit plus odd and sods ,so a load of bits of wire and string got it back on turned round and went home .very slowly. Happy days . The xk 8s are still reasonably priced here at the moment, thay do have a problem with the throttle bodys apparently and that sends it in to limp home mode. Take care my friend. M

I've got that Maisto Jaguar XK8, but in British Racing Green. Lovely model. Shame the steering wheel is on the left. You're right, the blue doesn't suit.

Martin the Ford Anglia 105e is the car I learned to drive my driving instructor was a expolice officer from Henden and had his own driving school the car had clutch and brake pedals on the passenger side I passed my test first time because of him.

XD now this is a new one... though probably nobody knows how to pronounce Bburago, anyway. ;) the guy who founded Bburago eventually sold everything to Mattell, but went and started anew with Polistil. which is why early Polistil are up-par with contemporary Bburago in terms of accuratesse and quality. once caught a 1:24 Fiesta Mk1 on ebay and didn't realize all doors open until I took it out of the box, so tight were the doors closing... love the 1:24 capri, too. didn't know they exist until I found one at the local classic car mess (mass? fair?), but let it slip though my fingers... later found one on ebay for a reasonable price. it's the civilian one, too. would love to have the rallye one as well. triumph frogeye, the early one with tiny grille and long doors people kept smacking into the curbstones. car too low, or curbside too high? can't please everyone, I guess. XD aw, that tank truck. I'd try to keep the name written on the base as well. I hope they actually see this and speak up. :) got a lot of work here, really. ^^

Wish I could find me some dinky toys here in the United States got a lot of great castings like the Ford Anglia I like to find one of those for myself I'm big Ford fan so I really like Ford cars no matter where they're made from United States England Australia whichever they're made I'd like to have at least a couple of from each country I have a lot from here but in the United States but I don't have any dinkies and I have none from Australia
