Rounding off my look at Dinky Toys Catalogues using a slightly different approach for speed which should still be of use for those trying to hunt down that mythical toy from their youth...!

The audacity of dinky to put the blue Thunderbird 2 in the catalogue. Great video.

Just to clarify,, Dinky Toys were a Meccano product from 1934 until 1964, when Meccano went bust. From 1964 Meccano and Dinky Toys were owned by Triang, until they went bust in 1971. From then until the early 80's Meccano and Dinky were owned by Airfix. At least that what my memory tells me. Please don't mention the "L" plastic brick rubbish in a Meccano related video. It's sacrilegious! 😋😁.

I'd have to watch this one back to see what I was hypothesising, but a video I do intend to do at some point will involve me having to get a really big sheet of paper to figure out how all the various companies have moved ownership over the years. There is, as they say, always a bigger fish (for the most part). I only twigged recently that Popy were actually a subsidiary of Bandai, for example.
