Great restoration, on the tail lights you could paint the upper ones orange (amber) for the indicators .... just a thought 👍

nice job if you use superglue and want to instantly make a hard bond glue then sprinkle bicarnate soda it strengthens the joint file it flush after if a piller is beyond repair u can allways cut a split pin to size and use that hope this helps

To strengthen the interior, use tissue paper and PVA glue underneath. You could have gotten the dent out of the roof with a small hammer and punch, when you have a flattish surface like that the metal will not crack, I have done this myself.

Hi Graham. There's many sources out there for decals. If you want to do this particular car, go to ebay and key in Dinky Humber Hawk police or Dinky + the model number. What you're looking for should then appear in the listings 👍🏻

@@CDMJDMHHC No, caustic soda is much more caustic than baking soda and can cause harm if not carefully handled. Baking soda is too weak to use as a paint stripper

Recently, a lot of paint stripping solutions have been 'toned down' and aren't as effective as they were. Caustic Soda, is cheap, and always works very well. Just treat it with respect - safety glasses, and good quality rubber gloves - industrial quality, if you can get them, are a must. And always add the powder slowly to the hot water. DO NOT add water to the powder - it can, and will, boil up, perhaps spit into your face, and maybe break the container. Always use in a heatproof non-metallic container - the taller, the better. The reaction is exothermic, which means the solution will boil fiercely, giving off a steam that can cause eye injury, being basically boiling bleach vapour. Leave until cool, and get rid of the water in the sink, and rinse it away well. Give the stripped model parts a good rinse in clean water. They can now be handled with bare hands.
