Randy, thank you for sharing your kitchen your thoughts and cooking skills with us. You mentioned your interest in the 20th century. Especially the atomic bomb era. I'm a bit older than you but I remember my grandfather saying to me in his lifetime, he has seen, man travel on horseback to riding in cars to traveling on trains to plains to Jets and rockets and landing on the moon. All in one man's lifetime. That is a tremendous amount of change for a generation to comprehend. Keep up what you love. Bless you.

I completely forgot Corona Virus and the second-degree burn on my leg (don’t dance too close to the spotlight at the Mardi Gras party) for ONE WHOLE HOUR! Plus I laughed out loud and am going to make those incredible-looking fondant potatoes tonight. You are an absolute delight. This is your outreach theatre project and we are all inspired to re-create some of these culinary moments. Please always make these videos.

This was wonderful! Thank you so much, I loved it, as usual! When I was growing up in Kitchener- Waterloo, ON, Nesselrode Pie was a specialty of a local steak house. I remember it being very creamy and served chilled like any cream pie. It was delicious. Can't remember all that was in it, but definitely, no chunks of chestnut. Anyway this episode makes me want to try it again. You are amazing!!!!! Nice flowers on the table!

You’re a riot Alice! Seriously, you’re making me laugh again, as the bishop said to the actress! As a kid in England, I loved me blancmange never really knowing what it was! I remember pink ones, and get this, mauve ones! Anyway, I’m shattered you didn’t make one. Cooking with chestnuts is always a pain. Once, I attempted making a Mont Blanc which finally came out delicious but grainy. The last time I had venison, my next door neighbour leaned over the fence and asked me if I would like a barbecued venison roll. I did and it was delicious until the neighbour said he had killed it only that morning! What? Argh. Never mind. Your dinner looked marvellous and your guests loved it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Colin.

This was such a beautifully enjoyable respite from the nonstop insanity the whole country is going through at this very moment. Equally important I learned about a gorgeous cut of meat, the venison tenderloin, which I have never had. And the plum sauce looked so delicious I felt like I could taste it right through the video!!!

OH MY GOD ! This episode was so fun to watch, although it made me afraid of even contemplating to try and try the desert - oh lala. Now, of course, I will re-watch it and then I will decide. I love the sauce, the meat but the dessert again : oh lala. not so sure of that one LOL. Anyway, a really fun, interesting episode and it ended beautifully with all those nice people and a gorgeous table. You did again, Randy, congratulation and a big thank you to you and the crew. P.s.: So glad to hear that your Lenoard is ok and b ack with you, all safe. I promise that when I will be able to fly, I am going to NY and to Le Théatre. A bientôt mon amie - Rosalind -

I look forward to every episode! I love getting to see the actual dinner party and people enjoying your food. Chestnut puree here in France is smooth like peanut butter, but I've never seen an unsweetened version. Oh and 'fondant' means melting in French, not sure if that relates to your potatoes!

Maybe when this hoo-ha blows over. ....Randy, have you ever seen the English Wartime Farm series with Ruth Goodman and Peter Ginn? (I'm sure you have) . Let's make one of those crazy boiled puddings with game birds. I would also love to find one of those home tin-canning devices especially that we are now in Apocalyptic times.
