Dino crisis is what would have happened if the Jurassic Park franchise had taken a path to terror like in its original novels

Yes, in some sense. It is funny though, but the terror in Jurassic park is there but is all untold with just a few hints that created some fan theories. Example, the spinosaurus in JP3 is by some believed to have asexually reproduced, the mercenaries killed the offspring offscreen but we can hear them firing at something, enraging the parent spinosaurus which than chases them down. Cooper had a strange injury that cannot come from the adult spinosaurus so that raises some questions, they also, from all possible locations, landed on an airstrip with a spinosaurus in walking distance from them... Crazier still, the direction the mercs travel into is straight toward the spinosaurus, so it raises a few questions. It also managed to ambush the mercs, find the plane again and chase the crew throughout the island. But ever since jurassic park the lost world, though a great action movie for many reasons, the story hasn't been living up to the books... Heck, after reading the first book, and knowing the movie, the movie itself lost a lot of quality in my eyes. Immensely fantastic book. And I say that Jurassic World really fumbled the ball on all of that. And other JW media is tailored more for kids. It also has taken itself way to far and entered the impossible science fiction setting, with domed paddocks, artificial weather systems, biosyn sanctuary, weaponized dinosaurs, robots, dinosaur mind control, hybrid dinosaurs. The plot for JW3 alone is staggeringly stupidly over the top like it is unbelievable it exists. Camp cretaceous, though for kids, adds something to the JP universe that would never existed if the original writer was the one to have continued to tell the story. Canon to JP now is that a bunch of lost kids survived the impossible time and again and also stopped Biosyn from getting some of its research and development. JP 3's Eric survived 8 weeks alone. So i guess dinosaurs aren't that dangerous xD. I wrote to much than intended buddy.

I always thought Dino Crisis had a lot more in common with Carnosaur. Blue halls, laser barriers, an industrial complex, green raptors, etc.

This is easily one of my top 3 remixes of "Set You At Ease" ost in this platform. The slideshow feels like official concept art for a Dino Crisis remake or a proper sequel(we don't talk about Dino Crisis 3) that enhances the mood while listening to this track.

That's my interpretation. Curious though as to where it's from exactly and if that's how it was meant to be interpreted.

A Dino Crisis remake has so much potential. Rather than being a straight up remake, with modern engines Capcom (or whoever would attempt to remake DC) could make the dinos mimic real life animals. Regina could have been trained in wilderness survival tactics. Instead of just shooting the dinosaurs the player could employ various tricks, such as luring dinos into ambushes, trapping them with meat or a bloodbag from an infirmary, or use some kind of a strong flashlight or airhorns to scare dinos away temporarily or something like that. Dinos could engage one another over their prey, Regina or a smaller dinosaur, giving the player time to react. So many things you can do here!

lets together, worship dino crysis for the beaut that it truly is... A gem of a game 1 and 2, in decades of development since, they still offered some of the best dinosaur gaming experiences. Far more fun even than Jurassic World Evolution 2, better than the isle is. I mean, i could keep that going, there are new games, dinosaur horror, coming, so that may be interesting. As for DCrysis, Dylon ends up staying behind in the past or something, what a note to end it all on.

They won’t be using UE5, they have their own in-house enhanced RE Engine which has done wonders so far and they will likely keep using it for the next remakes.
