This is my fav cryopod mod! I love that you can use the terminals as tribute structures - but I did have some crashes on my server uploading dinos at the terminal recently. The dinos uploaded but popped out with zero stats so just be careful with this feature. Haven't had any issues transferring and downloading items though. Another great review! You should take a look at Shiny next 😁

@@kaylodee8 funny, I wanted to recommend a shiny dinos review, too! 😄 Definitely in my top 5 mods list - together with dino balls & visual storage. You should really take your time exploring the mod, though. Tame different shinys, read about their features and specifications abilities, and try them out. I myself have installed shiny dinos for a couple of months now, and still haven't seen everything. It just adds so many little improvements and funny things to the game whithout being too overpowered. Definitely worth trying out. Couldn't think of a reason why not every server should have this installed :)

Ooh... I've seen a few people use this mod but so glad someone did an in-depth review. And so well presented too. Nice work! This mod kinda seems to be similar to ASE's Dino Storage v2 mod which had a Soul terminal, Soul traps, and Soul gun. That was definitely a very handy mod to use and so much better than vanilla cryopods. Oh and for taxidermy bases I suspect these will be dropped in when Extinction releases in December.

I have a problem i cant capture tamed Dino. my inventory is not full don't know if its bug or something, the only way I can capture my Dino is using a Dino ball not the Dino digitizer.

Same for me. Looks like the latest ark update has done something to cause this. The mod author is looking into it so keep your eye open for the next mod patch to hopefully fix it soon 🍻

After trying out all of the cryo mods a while ago, this is the one I stuck with. Originally, I just feel in love with the *bleep* sound the dinoballs make 😄 and the visually pleasing UI. I think it really shows the effort they put into designing an easy to read info box (esp. when it comes to stats and mutations). A lot of other mods, especially the spyglass ones, could really take some inspiration from dino balls.. Also, the in-game settings UI is great for us fellow console players. Even though, the passive production v2 setup is a bit finicky - having the freedom to setup passive production anyway you like is a great thing! It really helps not cluttering your base too much with all the dinos standing around :) And since it's a pretty new feature, I guess they're still gonna improve on that a little. The placement and stacking of storage boxes is bugged, like you said, and that makes it difficult to arrange them neatly. But I got it done with a little extra effort, and going out of render distance several times. I'm sure as time goes by the devs are gonna find a way to fix that, too. I think just everything about this mod looks pretty. The terminals are not too techy, the storage looks nice, the dinoballs display a little icon and the dino's name when you got it in your hand, the radial menu is a nice feature. The display cases are cute, and let you slow off and look at your favorite dinos. All in all, to me, this is the best cryo pod mod there is. Really well thought out and with much attention to detail. Great review, too! Keep up the great work! :)

Totally forgot to mention the (maybe most important!) auto pickup, incubating, and imprinting feature(s)! This is just such a big time saver when breeding your dinos - especially boss armys! I don't know how many times we started over on ASE, and how many eggs I manually picked up, threw in front of ACs, set timers to not forget about them, just to kill the dinos and repeat 😄 this just makes it all so much easier! ❤️

For some reason the only thing I'm having problems with is the gun is not putting my dinos into the pods. Now throwing the pod at the dino works just not the gun

Yeah it's been a problem since a recent patch from wildcard. The mods seem to have mostly fixed it for single player (PS5) but there's still mixed reports of some lingering issues. Good news is that the mod author is working hard to get it working properly again 🍻

There have been some bugs with the guns recently but I was under the impression they had fixed them. It's currently working fine for my group on PS5. If it's still not working for you don't be afraid to jump on their discord so you can keep up with any updates as soon as they happen 🍻

Yeah, unfortunately the extinction release has made a few mods need a bit of an update. The auto-capture of babies is known about and being fixed so until then, they are advising to just disable the option to avoid any possible problems 🍻

I can’t find Dino Depot in the in-game mod downloads at all. I’ve searched it up and apparently it should be there, and I haven’t seen anyone else with that issue. Is it only available in-game on consoles and PC has to find it elsewhere? (I’m on PC)

I do enjoy this mod, but the level of settings is honestly overwhelming- I’m struggling to set it up properly, which is why Super Cryo Storage and Pelayori are my usual go to storage mods. But I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, so maybe I should give it another go.

On the curseforge you have the google doc with 180+ and it tells you what everything does. Just copy the settings you need. I have a txt with all settings setup nicely I can email you if you need.

The only options you need to setup are the passive productions if you want them. Otherwise it works exactly like a normal cryo.

It's a known issue and I think they are trying to get it sorted. From their discord: "A warning about full inventory is likely due to a full cosmetics inventory - make sure you've cleared out duplicate DLC skins by dying and if you are using a death recovery mod/death keeper mod consider not using it until a patch it put out on their end to not duplicate cosmetics/skins"

It can absolutely help with moving the dinos quickly and easily. The rest of your stuff you'll likely need some weight dinos if you hoard anything like me 😆🍻

I've read on their discord a few people having some similar issues. The general advice given seems to be to first try uninstall and reinstall the mod. Give it a go and let us know how it went 🍻

is it producing fertilizer or just poop? if its making the fertilizer how do i do that?

If you have critters in the terminal then make sure you have the setting for poop turned on. Then if you have a dung beetle in there as well you can turn on a setting to turn that into fert. There's even a setting that will distribute the fert to any crop plots in range. It's super handy 🍻

We experience that on our servers. Not sure it's a bug or a setting or both. I didn't see a mod setting that deliberately switches that on or off but we do have anyone can imprint as a server setting so that might have something to do with it 🍻

Yeah the same is happening to all of us. Seems like it's something to do with the last patch wildcard put out for the main game but the mod author is aware and is working on an update. Fingers crossed it'll be working again soon 🍻

I'm not sure of exact times but as long as you have at least one male and female of the type that you want eggs from in the terminal I found that the eggs start popping fairly quickly. I can't be certain but it seems that some critters produce eggs quicker than others 🍻

I really hate this mod because of the sounds. If they would change it to default to something not goofy sounding, then I'd replace Super Cryo Storage...maybe... There's some other little things I dislike as well, like the options just feeling like a programmer-UI. If the sounds didn't drive players away from the server, it would be more popular. And you can't say "ohh you can change the sounds"...well yeah - you know how many people actually change the defaults of stuff? Almost nobody. I do, and probably you do as well; but it still drives people away. As it stands now, Super Cryo Storage follows the ASE Dino Storage mod the closest, and that was the default for near a decade for most people. It's also been the most reliable. It hasn't broken since release.

There was a game bug with inventories and cosmetic stuff that seemed to be part of that issue. I was under the impression that WC had patched that but perhaps they haven't got it fully fixed yet

@@lroar1082 Check your cosmetics to see if you have a heap that you didn't realize you had. Other than that and if your game version is up-to-date I could only think it would have to be something they fix in a future patch
