Dino Jelusick - Ray Gillen Anniversary / Badlands - The Last Time

Ray Gillen was one of my biggest influences and he died on this day, 25 years ago.
We were both discovered by the same producer Paul O'Neill (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage, Aerosmith), so this is also a tribute to Paul, since this is the last song he has done with Badlands.

Just completely blown away. This song is so damn hard to sing because it's Ray at his best - killing it on every level and still making it raw and real. Your tone, power and control are incredible - I close my eyes and I hear Ray, and yet with your voice there's an extra element, dynamic and layer. It's not just amazing that you can sing in that super-high register its that you can do it and still put in the soulful expression that Ray was famous for.
