Just delicious. You can tell they're both having such a wonderful time. Since Bob died, I read his book about his long career in comedy and acting, and he said he enjoyed himself so many times being on Dean's show. He said Dean never rehearsed at all and would just come in, cold, and do the show; it was evidently in his contract. He said they'd never make it through a skit without cracking each other up. God rest them both. They'll be in our hearts forever.

Newhart did a terrific job writing in a real person. Wow! Deano was great. we kinda forget how talented he was as he was surrounded by Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis, and Sinatra 😋 he was really good!! his singing style was so his own (Chaz Palminteri used his sons in “The Bronx Tale” - it easily a perfect song for Sonny. what a film that was!) 🎭🎬

Too true. Although, Dean could brilliantly ad lib when the occasion demanded it, as well! You could see from Bob's facial expressions (poorly suppressed laughter) that he hadn't expected Dean to come out in elderly spinster drag. Let alone, simulate crying! 🤣

Andy Northall He did several sketches with Dean on the show, but to my mind the funniest was the toupee skit where Dean couldn’t stop laughing all the way through. At one point Bob asked him if he was sure he worked with Jerry, to which he replied; “Yeah, but our stuff wasn’t this funny!!”
