This very nicely greatly well done with all its wonderful battle scenes and so forth indeed along with it's stop motion animation with the use of the Legos, But also this is like the attack like in Band of Brothers except for one thing there were no Sherman Tanks in that attack on Foy and were are the German Tanks and Artillery!🤔?.

This is cool and all... but, I'm a but confused on why the shermans wouldn't hit the MGs with HE rounds in the beginning.

It was a standing ROE. Limit collateral damage. They would not target the buildings unless absolutely necessary. Notice the few that were targeted they had no choice but to use explosives. The Shermans had no reason at the time to target the MGs or the buildings unless ordered to.
