So using the invisibility glitch keeps you completely invisibly for the entire match, wheras you can do anything and not be attacked by anything, or are there some exceptions, I know the arc Titan is an exception with the aoe of electricity but what else?

Just arc fields from arc ronins, nukes, and scorches panic flame shield sometimes if they're within line of sight of the harvester, or non invisible players after your 4th consecutive sword core swing.

For 2 player you want 1 person to run softball on harvester duty and the 2nd person to run SMR on titan duty. SMR is the highest dps in the game vs titans. If you're not the one who focuses titans u want the softball

@@ovilordy3824 generally for 3 player you'll have 1 on harvester duty and 2 on titan duty depending on the map. Titan duty runs awall, satchels, ordinance expert, smr with tactikill(which works on all enemies in FD) and fast reload, and either MGL for stalkers or archer. Use awall to amp your satchels for 50% more damage. Harvester duty uses softball with fast reload and tactikill, grapple, fast regen to avoid getting beamed by grunts or ordinance expert for more satchels, and archer or thunderbolt depending on the map. For our Rise speedruns it's better to use thunderbolt because i can send bolts down mid before the double legion spawn arrives then go back to what I'm doing without waiting 3 seconds for archers to lock on.

Anything past aegis 20 i believe is just cosmetic. Aegis upgrades used to have purpose outside of FD because of the limited time Aegis LTS and Aegis Titan Brawl modes that used to come from time to time. And yes, when getting collaterals with Ronin's sword it often propels titans upwards causing them to ascend for awhile. It happens quite often tbh. In terms of use though, Ronin is by far the best titan in frontier defense. Scorch and Ronin are by far the best 2 to use for both casual and speedrunning oriented frontier defense gameplay. They're both in a league of their own.

@@tobezdev all the levels are a rough guess off the top of my head, lv 7 u get double phase dash, 11 or so is kinetic transfer which gives u outrageous core gain from blocking damage, i think 14 u get the super phase dash where phasing sends you around 4 times the normal distance, 20 you get double sword core duration and damaging enemies with swordcore gives you overshields back

Phase shift, switch loadouts to refresh the phase cooldown, then phase again the moment you come out of phase to get permanent pilot and titan invisibility. You can do so during intermission and the first 25 seconds of the match

@@zodiacdrifter581 glitches are used in speedrunning all the time to achieve the fastest times possible. It's still incredibly challenging to get optimal times but makes completions much more consistent. I do also have perfect glitchless solos where I've beaten Kodai and Black Water Canal on insane with losing my pilot, titan, or harvester health and not using invisibility.

Wow I cant believe I missed this video, and I really needed it so thanks. I'm restarting on Xbox (I'm a ps4 player) and I forgot how hard everything is in FD when you don't have your titans ranked up. I know you dont really play that much tf2 on your channel but I have been getting this wierd error now that I switched to xbox. After about 2 mins of searching for a match (if I don't get in) it will kick me to the main menu and say "connection has timed out". I never really had this problem with ps4 so it must be an xbox thing and idk how to fix it. Do you have this problem as well? If you know anything about it I would like to know how to fix it.

A lot of practice goes into it! Having the correct pilot and titan loadoutd goes a long way. Also, learning the wave rotations and enemy AI goes a long way so you can approach engagements more safely and efficiently

Ion is much stronger when you get used to the reflex cannon mechanic :) core caps at ~5 seconds but your meter will extend further and bug out if you extend it too quickly so you need to space out kills with the core.

Speedrun kodai on the highest difficulty you can consistently complete it on. Kodai is one of the fastest and easiest maps to complete. If you dont have a group you can still get decent ranks by playing up to the waves you know you can complete in solo then letting the harvester die to restart the process

Run ready and double tethers so you can have 8 on the ground at a time. You can stack them all in one location to nuke a group of titans as they walk into them. Northstar is lacking in damage for FD but utilizing her traps will help a lot

@@dkir5933 that's because the scorch wasn't playing properly. Scorch can get at least 4 flame cores in 10 seconds which do 6k damage per titan hit and the core can generate a new core by hitting grunts, stalkers, and reapers. Piercing shot just lacks in DPS. The double tether is valuable for dealing with arc ronins but not as much as flame coring them every 2-3 seconds

@@hope4ourfallen you can place arc traps near the harvester precisely where Arc ronins phase to if you understand their pathing and if they land on the trap on their way out of phase the titan explodes. The blockade strat is more practical and is showcased in many of my Rise speedruns. By setting 2 turrets side by side correctly the turrets act as a wall that titans can't walk past. you can use that to effectively turn rise into a 2 lane map.
