Whoever I fish the river at least behind my parents place I always have to wear hip boots to get in the shallow water to help get fish. The water is maybe 2 feet deep max for the last twenty yards. We used to drive a boat into the river with a tractor until the boat was in deeper water and the tractor would still be in the shallow water.

The snag by shore was about 10 feet down. It drops off pretty quick. Water is still very low there.
