Huh, Anthony, I wonder what your personal favorite Dinosaur jr. album is and why. Cause you did mention in your review that you like Dinosaur's Ballad oriented songs the best, which I assume you're referring to their mid to late 90's stuff, but every time you've mentioned them before, you've shown either Bug or You're Living All Over Me, which is my favorite album...

Hey Anthony, I'm really enjoying your reviews. Best thing I've found on KZbin, by far. I'm a long time music fan, but would never consider my knowledge to be comprehensive or exhaustive. I'm a fan of Dino Jr. since the Nineties, but haven't heard this album yet. I saw The D. Jr. on tour in Halifax, Nova Scotia a few years ago, on the Farm tour. A great outside show, with late band Handsome Furs opening.

Totally agree, it's a great rock album, but it's hard to listen to the whole thing in one sitting due to the lack of variation sometimes. For me it's Barlow that brings the variation and his tracks are my favourites from the album. I liked it, but it's not something I would come back to listen to in its entirety. For me it's a strong 6.
@JayT85112 жыл бұрын
@YourDailyMusicNotes it's not about what's their best album is . It's about what your favorite one is because they have songs on all different albums that are good enough to go on their classics .

Well, there weren't all that many transitions, it was more so just dispersals. Lou Barlow leaving after Bug to work in Sebadoh, Murph being booted by Mascis sometime between Green Mind and Where You Been, and Mike Johnson taking the place of Barlow on bass in his abscence.

this album is one of my favorite albums ever. i dont really know why. i just enjoy the dynamics of it in a way yanno. like how they can go from really badass & hard riffs to kind of space trippy riffs. and more soft acoustics to heavier stuff. plus this is the first album i heard by them after getting into them over the past summer.
