Hey guys! In this video we go over the dinosaur profile for the Indoraptor hybrid that we got to see in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom! Now Jurassic World 2 introduces the hybrid animal that we learned of from Jurassic World 2015. Vic Hoskins, Eli Mills and BD Wong's Dr. Henry Wu are all discussed in this video. We talk about it's history, it's life, some deleted scenes that featured it and even the novel ideas from Michael Crichton that were infused into the dinosaur's backstory. I think this dino had a ton of scary scenes that would've gotten me back when I was a kid! This is probably one of my favorite Jurassic designs EVER! Hope you all enjoy! :D

I actually prefer the Indoraptor over the Indominus. Mostly because of how frightening it would've been had it escaped the Lockwood Estate. It would have a body count that would make any serial killer jealous.

Headcanon: The DNA of a serial killer was used to create the Indoraptor. Which could explain how the Indoraptor was able to smile and had the ability to sense the fear of his prey and enjoy said fear.

I like indoraptor for how unique it is, especially with the ability to walk on two legs for general movement, walk on all fours to sneak, run on all fours for speed and run on two legs to be able to use it’s arms. I also like how it felt like a monster because it is one, and not an animal being made into a monster (cough spinosaurus cough). I feel like it’s mental state is justified also because of the situation it was grown in, which can also explain it’s behavior towards humans.

Imagine if Owen and Claire were actually able to call the authorities about the auction before they were caught, and then the police happen to show up just after the Indoraptor escapes and then enter the main hall, where the Indoraptor picks them off one by one, then, later in when Owen Claire and Maisie through the dinosaur dioramas, all is silent until a sound of something being thrown is heard, then an officer's corpse crashes into the glass where they're standing.

The Indoraptor is awesome because the smaller scale, sadistic nature and high intelligence means it really capitalizes on the horror movie facet that was such a strong angle with the Raptors in the original movie. Speaking personally, the idea of hiding motionless and terrified under my bedsheetss from an entering Raptor is EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT after seeing the first two movies for the first time!

I really do love the Indoraptor, how it took some inspiration of Michael Crichton The Lost World's Velociraptor - being a weapon. However, consider it only appeared in the third act and the producers made some changes, it really doesn't bring too much. Soo, I prefer Indominus Rex, cause it was bigger, fearsome and had more screentime, ate her own sibling and killed two of Owen's Raptors (Blue's siblings) and almost killed Rexy if Blue didn't come to the rescue. That was my own opinion.

To be honest there is nothing wrong the dinosaurs themselves inoraptor or I-rex but i have to roll my eyes every time someone says dinosaurs have a military use, the military angle is the weakest part of the films, there fun films but i don't think we need the military angle, the desire to sell, or create bigger, unique dinosaurs itself is enough of a reason i think, be it in Jurassic world 1 to draw in more tourists again or in 2 because someone wants to sell dinos to make money so that Dr.Wu can continue creating his hybrid creatures.

You should consider doing a series on how the Jurassic Park story has a lot of similar elements as “The Island of Doctor Moreau.” Similarities Summary: 1) Genetic research 2) Isolated volcanic island setting 3) Disgraced geneticist/biologist 4) “Outsiders” trapped on island in danger from created beasts 5) Ethical implications of scientific progress explored 6) The unnatural creations are an uncontrollable destructive force

I know people mock the fact that you use a gun to aim it then why need it. But this was as you say a prototype and as such would not follow commands like blue would over time but was proof of concept essentially and was probably only kept alive to work out its bugs as it got older.
@JCRev
@JCRev 5 жыл бұрын
I still think it is a really dumb concept. If it requires humans to direct it and basically fully control it, there's no advantage in having it over guns - it's more expensive, it requires looking after, they have to grow, and they'd only be useful in the military if humans could avoid the front lines entirely. The whole laser idea is rubbish (and real life militaries would likely choose not to use it because of the time and resources required). Militarised dinosaurs could work if really thought out, but the Indoraptor was really silly and impractical.

If there's one dinosaur in the entire franchise worthy to be called a "Monster", it's this guy. Every dinosaur in the franchise was an animal, but the Indoraptor takes it to a new level by being a sadistic monster who loves to scare his preys to death before finishing them off. Not even the Indominus Rex was this evil and was rational enough to realize the raptors could join her side.

Honestly, these days I am not sure which hybrid I prefer. I do like the Indoraptor how eerily human it is in its movements, the intelligence in its eyes and how things are implied from the earlier movies. It grew up alone, surrounded by just humans, humans who mistreated it and it learned from them. It is reasonably compact, it has a wonderful visual design and if I was a dinosaur I would want to be this one. The Indominus Rex has grown on me a little lately however. True, I did expect it to breath fire in the movie as it was so ridiculously over the top. I adore the little details on its design however, the raptor claws, the Tyrannosaurus legs, the spines on its back, the quils, the head that resembles a raptor skull. I like that it is white and distinct, it can hide but chooses not to as there is nothing that can threaten it. I love them both for what they are and want to pet them and take care of them.

I prefer the Indominus Rex for four reasons 1. It displayed high intelligence in the fact it was able to outsmart its creators: It killed its sibling to establish dominance. It figured out how get out its enclosure by utilizing its camouflage and lowering body heat to confuse its captors. It realized its captors where able to track it so it clawed out the tracker. 2. It was still a juvenile which means had it lived it would grown larger than the T rex. 3. It constantly killed to learn its limitations and would have killed the T -rex had not Blue intervened. 4. It was able to communicate with the raptors and establish dominance over them while turning them on the humans that raised them. In my opinion, a much more terrifying beast. The Indorapter was a fearsome creature in its own right but, humans were able to have some control over what it ate with the laser. Its only purpose was to seek out Maisy and while it did kill whatever stood in front of it. It had no interest in going out into the world the same way the Indominus did. I was expecting an Indominus 2.0 but, im gonna say the Indo Rex won me over.

The Indoraptor, like the Dromaeosaur family, is easily one of the deadliest animals in the JP series. In all honesty I find this thing to be a much bigger threat because it’s smaller than its ancestor and that it can attack you when you think your safe. Every scene it was in, my body got really tense and my heart sped up; the makings of a great suspenseful scene.

I think my favorite trait of this creature, more than the Indominus, was how often it prowled on all fours despite being shown to be bipedal as well. I think the reason for this is because it's another detail indicating this creature's shattered psyche. Sure we know it to be sadistic and intelligent, but for some reason I liked the implications of it being TOO intelligent. It's a reptile yet it clearly has intelligence closing in to what we'd expect in dolphins, primates or more specifically humans. It wasn't raised properly much like it's predecessor but while the Indominus' problems came from neglect and isolation, the Indo was more from an abusive upbringing that gave it real reason to seemingly hate everything else (especially humans). It's twitchy movements, it's prowling on all fours, the constant tapping of it's killer claw and the way it seems to enjoy itself as it is about to kill someone, I think it's a fascinating antagonist. It's an example of that Uncanny Valley, the hypothesis where in something has enough traits that it could seem human, but just enough non-human traits that makes it unnerving to those viewing it.

It’s understandable why they didn’t focus on it that much, but I still can’t shake the feel that it would been cool to at least see the scene where it plays with skull of that poor Maintenance guy or have someone explain the animal’s backstory. Cool video man can’t wait to see what else you have in store.

Ah I see what you did there. Indo actually WAS apparently sick too. Apparently scales started flaking off, and the fact that he was constantly hungry was because he was suffering from an illness. The cause? Too many damn DNA from all sorts of animals used to create him ironically enough

Adore this bad boy. For me, the indoraptor struck this perfect balance between monster and plausible creature. His anatomy was still very much based on JP dinosaurian traits, but twisted about and warped into something even more monstrous and unnatural. He felt just about as far as you could push the idea of a genetically engineered monstrous dinosaur without going into some bonkers direction.

I wont lie I hope to see you make a separate video on the Indominus Rex. I love her so much & she shot up to number 3 on the list of favorite dinosaurs in this franchise. Indoraptor is probably tied with her, due to his interesting design, his behavior, and how much of a horror monster he was. honestly I don't get why so many people, including the nostalgia critic (though I respect his opinion) hate this movie. I think it's awesome as hell

I absolutely LOVE the indoraptor. I know a lot of people hate this movie but seriously this is such a cool "..dinosaur." the indominus was cool but the fact that the indoraptor was darker and smaller and defective made it a really awesome character. The Indoraptor is my favourite dinosaur in the franchise and I personally like how it acts so alian compare to all the other theropods with it walking and running on 4 legs, using echolocation and just the way it acted. And the thing is that the Gen 2 Indoraptors could have a lot of potential if they were raised probably and it's fun speculating how they would look(as can be seen in my icon).

This is my favorite "dinosaur" of the Jurassic Park series, I also think this is the most terrifying dinosaur (other than Jurassic Park The Game's Troodon) and the design is quite cool as well as beautiful and I really hope we see him again, I think a cool way you could do it would be like an animal documentary with one, two, or even more Indoraptors just doing what they do, or alternatively it could just show up in a TV show cause yeah it's unlikely hybrids will be in movies for a while or at all, I just hope we see him again the Indoraptor was great.

I would’ve love to see a scene where Indoraptor is tracked down by armed security guards, then he goes to the floor area where all the nublar dinos are caged, he gets cornered by the soldiers, they shoot him, he screeches but then he looks behind and sees a huge shadowy figure, he then slashes an electrical pad which opens the cage and the huge shadow turns out to be Rexy then she charges out and kills the soldiers, basically saving Indoraptor’s life. Then she looks at him and Indo makes a “thank you” gesture with his head, but he jumps onto a rail, since Rexy could kill him but she appreciates him releasing her and Rexy escapes outta the building where she hangs out in the nearby forests. Indoraptor does a little smile then disappears off into the darkness

The spookiest thing to me about Rippers design was that he was basically a Utah raptor with a T-Rex head. But as far as which one was better they were about even I savagery. But Indy Definitely had the best fight scene. I'm kinda glad they went with the story they did because it would have made the story sadder to think they had to kill him because of abuse rather than Blue having to kill him because he was a highly intelligent murderer.

I thought the Indoraptor was criminally underutilized in the film. The awesome thing about the Indominus was that, despite being a Frankenstein’s monster killing machine, she had a personality and was easy to root for. Not to mention having one hell of a final showdown. I think the Indoraptor should’ve survived into the next movie, or at least been given more sustenance since it was the last hybrid of the franchise. Probably the coolest dinosaur ever was just...there.
