The album "Magica" which this song is from was a story. This was the part where the hero of the story got to make love to his betrothed before he had to retreat himself from society to learn powerful magic to keep them safe. At the end of the album, Dio reads the whole story and he has a wonderful "bedtime story" voice.

I love the double meaning in these lyrics... on the one hand it's about the romance between Eriel and Annica in the story of Magica, and on the other hand it's about Dio's style of writing songs. He left Rainbow because he didn't want to sing about love affairs. But with the last sentence of this song, he shows what his lyrics are all about... "cause maybe it's all about love!"
