Given Dio's history with Purple dating back to when Elf was opening for Purple and Roger Glover and Ian Paice producing Elf's first record, this must've been amazing for Ronnie!

Man, I miss RJD. He was the consummate professional performer, loved his fans, and a voice that was out of this world. God needed someone to show him how to sing metal, I guess. He couldnt have chosen anyone better.

Fuck! first time I've seen this. Thanks for posting. As a big Dio fan seeing him with Purple as his band, and that is said in the utmost respect, is a fuckin combination of legendary proportions. Also seeing Steve Morse rip it up made my day even better. Respect and stay safe. Graham, UK

It's fantastic to speak finally to someone who knows about music like you. I didn't read all of wedge173's comments, I meant he was right saying Blackmore was a legend, while I don' know what else he was saying before. You know what: I guess Morse is that kind of musician who needs to be listened when playing his own stuff to really understand his ability and versatility. I love both Geavy Metal and Hard Rock, and I grew up with Classical Music; maybe that's why I love Blackmore

Fair enough, I also put little faith into any of the top 100 lists because different people have different tastes in music but you still can't deny that Morse is one hell of a Guitar player. My list would include Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Morse, Vivian Campbell, John Norum, and Cem Koksal just to name a few.
