Ronnie was a master of stagecraft, he understood how to project and perform to the very back of the audience however big or small the venue, dude was 5'4" but he has a stage presence and a voice as big as a mountain

"The World is full of Kings and Queens, Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams"... One of the best lyrics written and I like to use frequently... Dio when he was front man for Black Sabbath Enjoy...

One of the greatest metal tunes ever although it is actually a Black Sabbath song when Ronnie was with them after Ozzy left.

I'm completely aware that I will get a ton of haters but here goes anyway. Dio😇 was 10X better than Ozzie. I got to see them at a "Black and Blue" concert. (Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult) and fortunately Dio was with them at the time. The only time I liked Black Sabbath. If you haven't done it yet you MUST do "Children of the Sea" He really kills that one. "The world is full of kings and queens, who blind your eyes and steal your dreams, it's Heaven or Hell.". I still have this album LP.😎

Dio (RIP) took over as lead vocalist for Black Sabbath after the departure of Ozzy Osbourne in 1979. "Heaven and Hell was written by Dio as a the title track of Sabbaths album of the same name,, released in 1980. They did one more incredible album - "Mob Rules" before he left to go solo once again. Ronnie did a 'resurrection' of Black Sabbath, with original members Tony Iommi (guitar) and Geezer Butler (bass), and added new drummer Vinny Appice to replace Bill Ward. He named the band after this song "Heaven and Hell", and releasing just one album (but toured quite a lot for live shows). FYI, aside from his stellar solo career, as well as a number of stints with Black Sabbath, he was also the lead singer for Rainbow (born of the ashes of Deep Purple) just prior to Joining Sabbath. His catalog is far deeper than you can imagine. Here he is doing this track live with the band Heaven and Hell - frankly puts this version in the back seat: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJzEhIGVq6mcgbM

Heaven and Hell is actually a Black Sabbath song. Do the studio version, it's not a Dio Album, it is Black Sabbath's album called Heaven And Hell.

This song is from when he was with Black Sabbath for those 2 albums after Ozzy Ozbourne was kicked out.

Dio also did the album Dehumanizer with Sabbath in 1992, as well as the when they reformed under the band name 'Heaven & Hell' in 2006 and released the album 'The Devil You Know' in 2009.

Treat yourself to the original studio version from the Black Sabbath album of the same name. There is also a great live video from 1981 that is way longer.

This is the best version imo. Ronnie was insane. I would have loved him in Final Fantasy track with Uematsu. RIP King 👑.

Definately need to check out Ronnie James Dio with Black Sabbath, but also the band Rainbow. Rainbow remains one of my favorite groups with songs like "Stargazer", "Man on the Silver Mountain", "Gates of Babylon", "Temple of the King" and many more with Ronnie. Plus they have had other singers like Graham Bonnet, Joe Lynn Turner, and Doogie White. All worth checking out. As for Black Sabbath, "Sign of the Southern Cross", "Children of the Sea", "Lonely is the Word", "Voodoo" and of course "Heaven & Hell (studio version is a must)"
