Saw DIO in Amsterdam that year. Queensryche, quite unknown at that time, as supporing band made it a double bill, they were that good. And DIO, man, great as ever. what a voice... And now my son knows him as the best singer ever. Still got some pictures from that concert, even the ticket survived the years. And my 'Man on the Silver mountain' still holds this special place in my heart. Rest in Peace my man!

@@hermanhelmich In your opinion yes, but Dio's show was immensely more intense and more powerful than Queensryche that day, Dio was a superior vocalist to Geoff Tate in practically all aspects, he had a much greater vocal evolution and longevity and Dio was the most consistent vocalist in metal, any professional or specialist who has even the slightest knowledge in vocal physiology and knows the styles and vocal structure of these metal vocalists, knows that Dio is the most powerful vocalist with greater vocal capacity in their heyday in the 70s and 80s by Rainbow and Black Sabbath; The two are among the best in rock/metal but Dio is in his own league compared to any rock and metal singer you'll ever hear and many top singing professionals assume that Ronnie was the ultimate rock vocalist.
